I-485 denied because of INA 245 (c) after approval of I-765 and I-131 !!
Hey Guys,
I got approved for the Workauthorization ( I-765) and Advance Parole(I-131) and got sent the Documents( Physical Card)
. I was waiting for my SSN to arrive and today I got an mail that my Adjustment of Status (I-485) got denied because of Violations of INA 245(c). I have to say the violation was also because of COVID 2020.
Is there someone who had the same problems ? I will talk to my lawyer tomorrow, but is there anyone with similar problems and what are the chances to clear the situation and still have chances to remain eligible for the I-485 ?
thanks to everyone !!!
and I wish everyone in here all the best for your own applications 🍀

No Biometrics Request
We sent our forms in for AOS on 5/23/23. We’ve only received our receipt notices through the lawyer and our online account. 6/26/23 we got an RFE for our I-485 saying our forms weren’t the most recent edition. Our lawyer told us it was a glitch as some of his clients have received the same thing. We saw some people on here who filed the same date got their biometrics appt and EAD approved already, we haven’t received anything about biometrics? Has anyone gotten their EAD without biometrics? My spouse had fingerprinting done last December for their B1/B2 visa.
Green Card is here!!!
VAWA family…I just received my Green card. Thanks to you all for your vital information. I pray for those waiting for approval will receive theirs very soon.

Two different RFE'S in two weeks apart of each other.
We received second RFE after two weeks of submitting our medical RFE, this time USCIS (San Fernando Valley FO non-local) asking for proof lawful presence in US for the past 4 years since we changed our status from B2 to F1/F2 and additionally from me all my records related to my F 1 status (attendance, certification, transcript and etc), we already sent my wife(she is principle) response to RFE, and I am waiting from my school for all records, no idea how long it will take, hope for the best 🙏.
Does anyone have the same experience? please share your thoughts.
Standalone approval
I received my standalone approval for my work permit, it felt like it happened minutes after getting my biometrics done! But they haven't changed the status from "case actively being reviewed" or sent the card yet. It's so strange!

Potomac i-751 approved after 884 days!!
Hello, i would first like to thank all the members of this forum/community. I know these types of processes are really hard to go through and this forum has helped me feel not so alone. anyways here is my story.
Married October 2017
Submitted adjustment of status December 2017
Husband and I Moved states September 2018
Interviewed for GC October 2018
Finally received GC March 2019
Submitted i-751 January 2021
This is where it gets tricky. I separated from my husband November 2022 after a couple of months of his job making us long-distance which really put a strain on an already strained relationship. We started very amicable divorce proceedings in March 2021. We received a court date for divorce proceedings in early June, the hearing to be scheduled on July 3rd.
I was getting a little antsy that USCIS would approve my case before I got a change to send my divorce decree, so I wrote up a letter requesting my case be changed to a divorce waiver and attached over 200 pages of evidence, including pictures, bills, airplane tickets, broadway and movie tickets. I signed and notarized my letter and my soon to be ex also signed and notarized his own letter with his version of events.
On June 6, I sent this request for my case be changed to divorce waiver and requested a RFE so I could reply with my final divorce decree once it was finalized. Well, on June 12 my case was updated to say “correspondence was received and USCIS is reviewing it”
2 days later, on June 23rd, after 844 days, my case was updated to say “ New Card is being produced”!!
I truly don’t know how to feel, except exhausted, still in shock and relieved that this is done. Happy to answer any questions, I know this forum has helped ease my anxiety quite a few times.

Not sure I accidentally violated my status, any help is appreciated!
Hello,
I am looking for some guidance on my current immigration situation.
Here are some of the details and my questions:
Sep 2018 - Sep 2022: F1 Visa
May 2022: Sent application for U visa and related I765 (EAD)
Nov 2022: OPT approval valid from Jan 2023 to Jan 2024
Jan 2023: Started working full-time on OPT
March 2023: EAD and deferred action related to U visa were approved. Started working on my free time with the EAD, while keeping my normal full-time OPT job. At this point I am working different jobs with 2 different EAD cards.
March 2023: EB-2 NIW petition sent (I140)
June 2023: Quit my job with F1 OPT
June 2023: EB-2 NIW petition approved with the priority date being 03/13/2023.
My questions are: did I mess up my status by working on 2 EADs? If so, what can I do to become lawfully present again in order for me to apply for the green card once my PD is current?
I am currently unemployed for about 2 weeks now with my F1 OPT but I believe it is still valid.
Does my U visa deferred action grant me any legal status? Will I have any issues when applying for the green card? Can I expedite the I485 through congressman or other resources?
Thank you
