CONGRESSMAN
I applied concurrently on my own April 25,2022 and then applied for VAWA November 2022 using a lawyer. I have filed a total of 5 expedite requests on my own since for my work authorization and still never received anything. my last expedite was done through local congressman in April 2023 and was sent an update that it is being reviewed but delayed due to workload factors not related to my case. I received the exact same update 3 months in a row with no clear reason as to the delay. I have contacted my lawyer multiple times for help and to find out what is going on and she is so laid back but expects $325 from me every month and when I reached out to the Ombudsman before she told me not to use her name on anything and told me the same 2 days ago that they would withdraw representation if I did. I am thinking of calling it a loss and dropping her because she is doing nothing at all for me. If it wasn’t for the congressman’s office Immigration Liason pressing the issue to find out why the delay I would never have known that there is a issue with my I-485 and that their system is still indicating I did not respond to a RFE since August 2022. I did respond to the RFE but that simply states that USCIS messed up and my lawyer is lazy. I am going to maybe just count my loss and drop her. Hopefully I hear from them about my work permit very soon.

EB Case Remains Pending - Time to approval
hello folks- this question is for those who are in EB categories and had been to CRP (Case Remains Pending) status because of Visa unavailability— roughly what timeline you see for approval after your dates becomes current. so for example- if you become current in Oct, did you get approvals within the month or after a few weeks. Request to please fill the poll too.
Baltimore Field Office A Joke
after pressing and applying pressure on my i485 which they have still failed to make a decision, they are now talking about i130 which has not been approved after almost 3 years since we interviewed. They are saying that it is still within their normal processing period of 56 months so I should allow them more time to look into our petition and i485 . basically saying the i130 was petitioned with the i485 and until that gets approved I shouldn’t bother them with my i485 lol . The i485 however is outside of normal processing period that’s why I’m going harder with them .
I’m done at this point lol . They can eat and drink this case and make their decision whenever they choose to do so.

Need guidance
So I reached out to my congressman office to see if I can expedite based on the condition in Lebanon. I heard back today with the following assuming the expedite goes through which is another story but I had a concern about what was recommended which I think from what I have been reading will cause even more delay
"Even with an expedite being granted, U.S. Embassy in Beirut at this time has suspended all immigrant visa processing to focus capacity in assisting U.S. citizens. The recommendation that U.S Department of State is giving that there be a request to transfer to another U.S. Embassy. If the selected U.S. Embassy accepts the transfer please know that they will be weaving the case for scheduling based on availability, cancellations or the applicant’s circumstances."
Again I understand that this is all based on USCIS approving to expedite which is a stretch by itself. But I would like to know if anyone had to go through this and how much delay that will add.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Lastly this will be my 2nd time trying to expedite if I decide to go through it, if rejected will that impact my wife pending I-130 approval and get it delayed even more because I tried to expedite it
Finally i got approved
This journey is finally over, thank you all for posting your journey and encouragement to keep everyone in sense, we all know this process can be draining.
Thank you lord 🙏
