questions for CR1 spouse visa interview
hello, if you have any answers to these questions please let me know. my husband just got his interview letter yesterday for cr1 spouse visa. interview will be in Belgrade Serbia. my questions are will he get the visa right away at the interview after he gets approved? or will they send him the visa in the mail after a few days? my sister in law went through the same thing at the same consulate back in 2016 and they gave her the visa the same day after the interview was done. I don’t know if that has changed since then though. my other question is, since I am his wife, am I able to go into the interview with him? or do I need to wait outside? I’ve heard different things from people about this. my last question is, since he is coming back to america with me, at the airport in NY, can he go with me through the US Passport holder line since he is my husband, or does he NEED to go through the immigrant visa line since he will only have the visa? please let me know!

1-they will send him the visa by mail ( courier) or will pick it up later within few days
2- u cant go to the interview with him, u hv to wait outside
3- he needs to go through the immigrant visa line because they will hand him an envelope which he has to gv it to the officer because its his 1st time entering the US as immigrant

@H 11 can it be a choice if they need him to pick it up or if he can get it by mail? I would rather he gets it by mail (courier) because he lives 10 hours away from that embassy.

@H 11 I am having trouble registering online. idk why it’s so confusing. also do I need to pay the visa fee online? I’m not sure how this works

@L C I ddnt reach ths step yet! am waitin for interview letter from NVC, But u hv to register ur case n do ur medical exam b4 ur interview!
