My I485 is pending, it was current when I filed but right after filing the backlog started so as of now it’s not current. But I am in a complicated situation. My work is in a different state and I need to move to a different state due to personal reasons. Is that allowed? Can my residency be in a different state than the state of my sponsor or employment? I need to make sure before I move.

I have a bachelor's degree in Medical Technologists. Currently have H1B visa but almost reach my 6 year limit. 10 years on this field. I heard that even if you don't have master's degree but if you have bachelor's and been working for at least 5 years progressively, you will qualify for one.

Is anyone here in a similar situation. My Conditional GC will expire on Jan 2025. I have to submit my Removal of Condition on Oct 10th, (90 days before the expiration). Now I have travel plans and will have to leave the country in November 17. If my extension letter doesn’t arrive on time before I leave. Do you think it’s safe for me to leave the country and come back in Dec. since my GC expires in Jan 2025?
