@c m congrats on your pregnancy! If, medical recommendation says that vaccine is safe for pregnant women, you will have to get vaccine. I am so sorry 😔 the only thing you can do is ask for waiver but you need to have strong proof why you do not want vaccine and they can alwaya deny you that waiver

@c m if I were you, I would call civil surgeon and ask. They will give you correct info

you dont have to get new shots. you just go and they will ask you for proof of shots and proceed to do the examn

@reto mont are you sure? I will not need second dose?
c mJun 29, 2024
I did all the shots in 2019, that is the only record I have don’t they need 2 shots for some?
Mrkvica M.Jun 29, 2024
@c m if you got everything 2019, you should be good, except covid shot
prazzi SJun 29, 2024
@c m all you need to do blood work ( paid by insurance) at uscis approved civil surgeon , from that report he can see you already have important shots & you’re immune to diseases , and he can write new medical report
Mrkvica M.Jun 29, 2024
@prazzi S they were not doing covid shots in 2019 so that might be a problem for her
prazzi SJun 29, 2024
@Mrkvica M. if C M has 2 shots , it will be on the record, mostly they don’t ask for 3rd or 4th shot , doctor can pull up CM’s record or she can provide vaccination card
Mrkvica M.Jun 29, 2024
@prazzi S I agree but 2019 covid didn't exist. So, not sure did she get covid shot or not
Mrkvica M.Jun 29, 2024
@prazzi S she is aaking about "second dose" but she is not saying second dose of what
prazzi SJun 29, 2024
@Mrkvica M. if she pregnant she might get exemption & that’s totally up to the doctor.
Mrkvica M.Jun 29, 2024
@prazzi S it's not up to the doctor, it is up to USCIS. But, like I said right away, since this is a little bit different situation, she should call civil surgeon and ask and she will get proper information

@c m sure, i got the shots when i was in middle school and second dose in high school, i just went to get all the papers and never got new shots just covid
Mrkvica M.Jun 30, 2024
@reto mont yes, only covid might be an issue

@c m , confirm from uscis civil surgeon the vaccine you will need. Call your obgy or pcp and ask if you can take the vaccines, if they okay it then go ahead if not, ask them to give you a letter stating why you can’t the vaccine. Send the letter to uscis and ask for waiver

I'm in the same position, the civil surgeon told me that when being pregnant they some vaccines that are not safe and uscis understand that and he will put a documentation noting the reason for you nor receiving any and that's if u need any

@c m from what I know you don’t need to get any vaccines. since you have done Medicals before then you already have all the necessary requirements in your blood. what you need is to redo your blood work and show the proofs of vaccines that was taking back in 2019 and you are good to go. and if you are missing any vaccines for any reason then the doctor will proffer a letter stating why you can’t take the vaccines at this time with explanations. That should cover you and USCIS will definitely understand and consider that when making their decision.
