I was approved today in the morning after responding to RFE yesterday night. The RFE came on the 17th of this month. CR1 and CR2 both approved. PD: 04-08-2023, Vermont SC. Thank God with me🙏💃😮💨
It’s time to hit the road running with the next step in the process (consular processing).

Motion to recalendar & terminate with the BIA
Hi all,
I'm a DACA recipient since 2012 (legal entry via B2/visitor visa with a removal order admin closed by the BIA). I'm currently working on terminating the removal order and my lawyer is trying to file the motion to recalendar/terminate directly to BIA (no joint motion with OPLA- LA is super backed up) with a pending I-130. Has anyone gone this route and was successful in getting their removal order terminated by the BIA? Please let me know!

the K-1 visa
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inquire about the processing time for the K-1 visa application recently submitted by my fiancé, who is currently in Malaysia.
Could anyone please provide an estimated timeline for how long we can expect the processing to take? Any information regarding the steps involved would also be greatly appreciated.

hi all,
our interview is coming up - Nov 7th and I just finalized all the documents and evidence today. I also just realized we didn’t add any support letters from friends/family - do we need it? Would love to hear from anyone who may have been in the same boat or currently. My evidences are below and I have some concerns - what else do you suggest I bring?
-Marriage License / Certificate
-Spouse/Beneficiary Birth Certificates
-401k Beneficary
-Dental/Vision Joint Insurance
-Joint Bank Account Statement (and honestly, we almost never use it, the last transaction we made was by my husband almost a year ago) we still have a little change in the account and that’s why it’s still active (should we keep or remove this)
- 1-page Old apartment Joint Lease (same physical address we used at time of filing but we don’t live there anymore and lawyer advised against changing the address until we get another Uscis notice) Our mailing address is lawyer’s office. The both of us are not on this new lease, but we have joint bills for the place. Should we include those or would that be conflicting address and raise some red flags? 🚩
- every notices received from USCIS, including physical work permit and travel document.
- Medical (although we already submitted) we had a copy but this one is not sealed.

I pray for all who are waiting to get approved!
I entered on k1/fiance visa. Applied for I-485, case received by USCIS on 23rd May '24. Case is actively being reviewed after biometrics i.e from 12th June '24. We haven't applied for work authorisation thinking that I'll be approved in a few months but no positive sign so far. Whereas, others in the same boat were approved. Is it possible to apply for EAD now or waiting for the card is better? It's been over 5 months now. Thanks!
RFE responded,the same day update show RFE was sent for initial evidence.
My spouse RFE received 10/23 for birth certificate, we sent the documentation yesterday 10/28 . FedEx shows delivered 10/29 at 9.45 am . When I checked online, it shows 10/29 Initial evidence RFE was sent. I was expecting the response “RFE received”
Anybody has like this experience?? Is it another RFE???

USCIS did not send me Receipt Notice
Hello everyone
My case is particular, I filed EB1A and I received an RFE very fast, asking me for medical examinations (I filed I-140 plus I-485 concurrent)
The point is I doesn’t have Receipt notice for I-140 and I-485, directly come to me RFE, I have IOE but I don’t know what happened with the receipts notices.
¿Has anyone had a similar experience?

The wait is over. It was a long process full of emotions, but the day has come. I am very happy😭🥹, I will be able to return to my country after 5 years🇲🇽. My son and I started the process with my husband being a permanent resident, my husband had to renew his residency and ended up becoming a US citizen. My son got his green card 4 months ago and today was my turn. A week ago I received an email that they had taken action on the case, I contacted Emma and she told me that the case was going through a security review. Today was unbelievable, I woke up in the middle of the night, checked my online account and saw that step 3 of the interview was marked as completed and the total processing time was reduced to 1 week, there was still no approval letter in the documents section but that really gave me a good hunch. Today Approximately at 7:35 am I received an email notification that they had taken action on the case, it was finally the approval. No interview!

Calling USCIS and talking to a live agent
Guys if you haven’t done so before and/or did not know. This is how you call USCIS and speak to a live agent. I saw this on TikTok and I’ve done it twice with no issues.
1. Call 1-800-375-5283
2. When the machine ask, “ how can I help you?” say, “ I want to know about my case.”
3. When the machine ask for you receipt number say, “I never receive a receipt number”
4. when asked about a service center ANSWER “at a service center”
5. When asked if 30 days have passed answer, “YES”
6. When asked about a tracking number, answer “YES”
Also if you are the petitioner you will only be given info on the I-130 case unless the beneficiary of the I-485 is present and can be verified or else they will have to call for themselves. Hope this help somebody who is dying to speak to an agent instead of ‘ask Emma chat’
