I suggest you to still file asylum in addition to VAWA and let both process together which is my opinion only. Suggest to hire a lawyer and hear his legal advise opinion.

@nar jose why don’t you try to terminate your asylum case if that’s something you’ve been wanting. I was in your same shoes and when I got to my individual hearing, we asked to terminate my case and the judge granted my request, really up to you if you wanna have both process.
