recommendation attorney and cost for EB2 NIW
Hi gang
Hey team,
I'm considering applying for EB2 NIW. A friend of mine successfully went through the process on his own and received his green card in under a year. Previously, he and his partner had worked with an attorney for an EB2 case, but they missed submitting a key document.
Now, I have an attorney, AK POKU Law, who is asking for $250 for a consultation, but as expected, they’re not willing to provide any cost details upfront. I'm already financially strained from a previous application that was quite expensive.
Could you share any insights or advice based on your experience? I'm feeling mentally drained by the thought of handling the process solo, though I know it's possible—my friend has shared some useful resources with me.
Also, do you have any recommendations for attorneys and their fees? Lastly, if I already have an I-485 and I-765 application based on another relief, would this new application speed things up?
Best regards,

Help please I130 approved but I485 pending concurrent filling
I came to the United States in January 2022, they gave me parole 212 d 5 for a year! In November 2022 | married my partner who is an American citizen, we are from the gay community! I submitted my adjustment of status in January 2023, my fingerprints were taken in February 2023, then in May 2023 they asked me to submit my medical form, and then I had no movements until August 2023 when they approved my i765, in September 2023 l received an RFE for my 1130, requesting evidence we sent all the evidence we had up to that moment and on September 19, 2023 they approved my i130 without an interview, my i485 has been under preventive review since September 2, 2023, almost a year has passed and I still have no response from anything! I don't know what else to wait, I don't know if it's coming soon or if it will take much longer, if someone here knows of a similar case please it would be of great help to me, It's currently been almost 19 months since I presented my status adjustment and I've been stuck since last year

Wow! after approval for I-130 about 3 days ago, and now my case was sent to the department of State for visa processing. Question: What’s the next step?? or What to do next or expect?

Hear me out please
I literally smile and am so happy for everyone who gets approved no matter which form they file . But I can't help getting frustrated when I read some are getting approved in literally 2 days with this new I-131F. I'm human guys and I have emotions just like everyone else. I don't blame the players, I blame the game. In my opinion, this is not right !! There, I said it and it makes me so angry to see everyone here jumping through hoops, checking and double checking every line on every form to make sure it's correct. I see timelines going far beyond the BS average time to complete. I feel people's pain and frustration as they tell their stories about being apart from loved one's. We've all read some stories about abuse, neglect and people even talking divorce while waiting for approvals. Every one of our spouses must have a near perfect background and scared a speeding ticket can get a rejection letter. Question after question during interviews having to prove legitimate relationships. Finally, causing so much stress and heart aches having to wait and wait and wait. You better not have done anything illegal or your done.
But now there's a new form that has come out called the I 131F and man, this will definitely make people angry. Approved in 2 days after filing WTH ?!?!
For those who are upset at my words and fall into this category, people don't think it's a shot at you personally. I can't imagine what it was like for you and your Loved ones to constantly have to look over your shoulders and wonder. I truly mean it when I say I am excited and happy for EVERY approval. But damn, this will effect people's timeline who are going through the process the proper way, the legal way. We should not have to be put on hold so others can jump the line.
Lawfully family, we'll get thru this together and continue to pray and encourage one another like we have been. Remember, this is a safe zone to vent if needed or if needing words of encouragement, I'm here for you.
Sorry for the long post !

Asking this for a friend. Him and his fiancee had a baby in their foreign country before he became US CITIZEN.The child is 5 years old now,he is filing K1 visa for the mother to include the child as K2 ,Is that correct form to file for both child and the mother since the child was born before he became US citizen?
