Interview was Scheduled
hi all,
our interview is coming up - Nov 7th and I just finalized all the documents and evidence today. I also just realized we didn’t add any support letters from friends/family - do we need it? Would love to hear from anyone who may have been in the same boat or currently. My evidences are below and I have some concerns - what else do you suggest I bring?
-Marriage License / Certificate
-Spouse/Beneficiary Birth Certificates
-401k Beneficary
-Dental/Vision Joint Insurance
-Joint Bank Account Statement (and honestly, we almost never use it, the last transaction we made was by my husband almost a year ago) we still have a little change in the account and that’s why it’s still active (should we keep or remove this)
- 1-page Old apartment Joint Lease (same physical address we used at time of filing but we don’t live there anymore and lawyer advised against changing the address until we get another Uscis notice) Our mailing address is lawyer’s office. The both of us are not on this new lease, but we have joint bills for the place. Should we include those or would that be conflicting address and raise some red flags? 🚩
- every notices received from USCIS, including physical work permit and travel document.
- Medical (although we already submitted) we had a copy but this one is not sealed.

those letters have little weight on their decision. I didn’t do them and was approved in September. @menla seego

I smell a red flag with regards to a dormant bank account and the lease not in your names. You have an big explanation to do unless the officer overlooked it.

the letter from friends and family really helped. they held my case before because of it.
I would try to show proof of health insurance together
car insurance
photos of trips together
plane tickets showing you traveled together
photos of the wedding (they asked about my wedding on the interview)

@menla seego Both of our names are supposed to be on the household list, you will need the car insurance card we have together. because when I went to the interview my name was not on the list, the officer gave me 24 hours to upload it to the file. is very important, even though my name was in the house electricity, it was not enough

@menla seego I went to my interview in September, and trust me, the officer didn’t care much about the letters and photos. She mainly wanted to see a lease with both our names on it and transactions from our joint bank account. She gave me an RFE to provide those things so she could make a decision
