Court Order on Hold Policies
May the Lord perfect what He has started in Jesus name.
Release Date
06/12/2026
On June 5, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island issued an order in Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island, et al. v. United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, et al., 26-cv-00132-JJM-PAS (D.RI.), vacating PM 602-0192, PM 602-0194, and PA 2025-26. The Court entered its final judgment on June 11, 2026. In this case, the plaintiffs are non-governmental organizations and labor unions who represent millions of individuals who filed immigration applications.
USCIS strongly disagrees with the Court’s order but will follow its terms pending possible further judicial review.
The Policy Memoranda and the Policy Alert were issued based on Presidential Proclamation 10949, Restricting the Entry of Foreign Nationals To Protect the United States From Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Safety Threats, June 4, 2025, and Presidential Proclamation (PP) 10998, Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals To Protect the Security of the United States, December 16, 2025, and to address the lack of screening, vetting, and the threat to national security and public safety.
With entry of final judgment this order is effective immediately, and pursuant to the court-ordered vacatur, applies agency-wide. Thus, the vacatur applies to PM 602-0192, PM 602-0194, and PA 2025-26, which should be treated as if they are not in effect.
USCIS will issue updated instructions pending further litigation developments.

F2A approvals - consular processing
Anyone knows why have uscis stopped working on F2A consular cases? Every time that I check when my case will be outside normal processing times, it has increased; my PD is September 2023.
If there is someone who has been approved recently and it's a consular processing, please share your dates.

Travel with travel permit
I’m planning to travel abroad to visit my mother, as her health has been declining recently.
I need to make this trip either this coming fall or winter.
Is anyone else planning to travel outside the country with an advance parole (travel permit) soon?
I’m quite anxious about the process, but my mother truly wants to see me, and I don't want to have any regrets later.
my PD is Jan 2022, my 485 application status is case remain pending.
I have an EAD card and travel permit.
I’m wondering your opinions.
Biometrics Scheduling
Has anyone who filed EB3 I485 in mid-May received their biometrics appointment yet? I’m at 25 days and don’t know if it should have been scheduled by now? With many cases, I’ve seen biometrics fully completed by 1 month after filing, but I haven’t even had an appointment scheduled yet. Any recent timeline insight would be appreciated!
EB3 ROW, not from any paused countries.
Final Action Dates are current in my case.

H-4 EAD Pending After RFE Response – Concurrent H-1B/H-4 Filing
H-1B (I-129), H-4 (I-539), and H-4 EAD (I-765) were filed concurrently on April 1, 2026.
The H-1B and H-4 were approved under premium processing on April 15, 2026. However, the H-4 EAD at the Texas Service Center is still pending. USCIS received the RFE response for the EAD on April 30, 2026, and there have been no updates since then.
Has anyone with a similar timeline at the Texas Service Center received their H-4 EAD approval? How long did it take after the RFE response was received?
Thank you!

Update on Jan - Feb - March 2024 filers!!!
Any update on the Jan - March 24 regular processing filers? if your case has been approved recently (within a month) please do share. Trying to get some hopes up. It's been very frustating. Mine is pending for 835 days...
Among them if you had also filed 485 and got EAD/AOS approved do also let us know and share your timeline.
Approved!!!
Praise the Lord! After a long and difficult wait, it has been approved. I can't tell you how excruciating this wait was, but I am grateful it ended well.
Don’t lose hope. They are organizing the system and processing cases correctly. If you followed the rules, you don’t need to worry about your case.
I will be praying for everyone who remains in line.
I am a religious worker, and my priority date was October 8, 2021. I received a Request for Evidence regarding employment and medicals on May 14. A few days after they confirmed receipt of the response, they approved our cases (family included).
God is good all the time!
