Travel with travel permit
I’m planning to travel abroad to visit my mother, as her health has been declining recently.
I need to make this trip either this coming fall or winter.
Is anyone else planning to travel outside the country with an advance parole (travel permit) soon?
I’m quite anxious about the process, but my mother truly wants to see me, and I don't want to have any regrets later.
my PD is Jan 2022, my 485 application status is case remain pending.
I have an EAD card and travel permit.
I’m wondering your opinions.

yes you can travel and come back safely I did same on last year with similar situation

you can travel. Do not worry! I’ve personally known people who have travellled multiple times. Hopefully there is an improvement in your mother’s health.

@Kylie Lee it’s safe to travel, just make your plan to spend couple of hours in secondary room inspection! In December 2015 I returned from vacation and was held in secondary room inspections for 2.5 hours and didn't make it to my connecting flight.

we have the same priority date. I just came back in March and I might go again in September to visit my family, but it is not sure because my date is current at the moment but if you wanna travel, you can go now rather going later this year because you will be more closer to the decision and you must be here before you get an rfe or if you get an rfe you’ll be able to come back and submit it.

@Kylie Lee if you are truly seeking for an advice, I would say “Go now” because I have enough experience to travel on parole and in August or September you have chances to get an rfe

I have seen a lot of people traveling in advance parole, with no problem.

I travelled last year without any issues. I did land on a non busy airport so it took an hour to clear me. The agent was nice enough to make it clear from the beginning that I was admitted and they just had to do all the processing on their side
