Hi, is it possible to send unsolicited evidence for vawa? I have more evidence that I didn’t submit with my application, it was very hard mentally to do the application and I had a mental block. I just remembered more issues that happened and I have the documentation for it #vawa #i360
I-130 & I485 Approval
Hello everyone
I had my I485 interview yesterday (Cincinnati,OH FO). I was fortunate to get an extremely nice officer. the Interview felt more like a casual conversation, granted I was accompanied only by my attorney due to my USC spouse passing in December of last year. the FO was advised of the situation prior to attending the interview. I was asked very basic and little to no questions about my marriage and majority was spent answering I485 questions.
the officer did tell me that my petition will automatically be converted to an I360 widower petition. to my great surprise less than 12 hours of my Interview my I-130 and I485 were approved. alhamduliallah!
I’ve been in the states since I was 10. this is 17 years later.

I’m waiting for my I-360 approval since July 2020, I’d like to know if more people here are dealing with the same thing, I just took a look on USCIS process timeline n it’s change again to 33 months, I’m so frustrated, devastated n stressed my anxiety is high level bc always is a new change for timeline dates, I was married USC n applied for me and my minor daughter a combo in july 2020 with a lawyer ( i-130,765,131,485,360) EAD was approved in December 2020 and 131 (never flown overseas because was not recommended), I’m hopeless it’s so frustrating specially for my daughter she turned 18yo, graduated from high school 4.4gpi n unfortunately she is not allowed to study at some universities bc she’s not a GC holder, it’s not fair. I’m harder working, trying my best to raising my daughters by myself, I wish my daughter could apply to study and get scholarships that she deserves. vawa i485 - vawa approved, i-485 Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken
hello everyone. hope everyone is well and getting big good news everyday.
I initially filed i-130, i-485, i-130 and i-765 together. My ex husband is USC. Then kept my i-485 in abeyance and applied for VAWA. Filed for i-360 in march 15, 2021 along with i-485 and i-765. In September 2021 sent a request to update my address.
My i-360 was approved in November of 2022. No RFs nothing, was just approved. I did not expedite my VAWA. Two days after approval the status on my new i-485 changed to Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken. The status still the same up until this day. I live in Miami and request to change the address was when i moved here. Does anyone know how long it takes to get RFE for medicals?
On my i-360 approval notice, they put a Priority date, which is the date I filed for i-485 with my old i-130. Old i-485 was held in abeyance. But I also filed new one with VAWA. What does that priority date mean for my case? My ex husband was a US citizen, im not depending on the visa cap.

I-360 VAWA finally approved after 9 years journey, need advice
My journey started in 2014. Fast forward to early 2020 when I decided to apply for VAWA because things didn't work out as it should.
I had my EAD every year renewed while I was waiting. However, due to COVID the extension renewal didn't come in time last year so I got laid off and unemployeed since Aug 2022. Reached out to congresswomen and filing for expedite didn't help either.

Today my I-360 after 3 years, finally got approved! With that, the approval letter says that my EAD will be sent to me seperately.
I am not celebrating yet because I don't have the green card in my hands yet.
The whole point of this post is to ask others who are in similar position: What's next? How long is the waiting time for the actual interview? And how difficult is the interview process?

Expedited VAWA Approved, I-485 Transferred to NBC, How much longer until I-485 is Approved?
Hello, My VAWA case was approved on October, 2022 after an Expedite Request. I-485 was transferred to NBC for faster processing.
Last I-485 update was on November 4th, 2022, “Case was Updated to Show Fingerprints were Taken. It has been around 4 months since then.
How much longer do i need to wait for any interview, medical, or approval notice?

VAWA - 485 on hold in abeyance
Hi!
I am sharing my timeline to see if someone is in the same situation:
- I have got my combo card through marriage and used it a few times while married;
- my attorney submited the I-360, after I couldn’t live with my spouse anymore due to abuse.
I have got I-360 receipts + received a letter saying my biometrics will be reused .
Question: how do I know my I-360 was properly put on hold? The fact my bio will be reused is a good sign?
Asking once I’ll be using my AP card to travel again , but now the scenario is different after filling for VAWA!
