When to start applying to jobs?

I’m currently working in NYC at my current employer on an L1-A. I’m ready leave and start a new career. Estimating when I will get my EAD I think I should start recruiting around September given the process could take months. Is that too early? Thanks!

Unemployment Benefits w/pending EAD

Hi everyone. My wife lost unemployment benefits as her L2-EAD expired in late April. We’ve filed our renewal process on Feb 26th - so far without any major updates on this process.
