travelling when applied for H4 extension.

Hello everyone, Anyone of you has experienced the situation, where we have applied for EAD along with H4 extension and travelled to the native country. I have applied for H4,EAD along with H4 extension and due to emergency, fly back to my native country and on return my H4 got extended. I am really worried what will happen when my case will be opened. please suggest if anyone has gone through the similar situation. Thanks

next step after ead

Question. So I just received my EAD card. It took like 2 days to arrive after updating to “card was produced”, what’s the next step in order to get a job, other than looking for one 🤣, According to the app I have to request the SSN, or does USCIS send me one?

The long wait doesn’t stop even after GC. Got my things about a month ago but still waiting for social security. They told me I already have a number and should expect a mail, it’s been 3weeks and still counting. i cannot start driving school or use my medical insurance.

Switching to EAD while 140 is pending

I am on H1b visa and my spouse on L1A. His employer started GC process, I-140 /485 is pending but received EAD/AP. My h1b will max out in 5 months, can I switch to a new job on GC-EAD. Will it cause any issues since primary beneficiary’s 140 is pending. Pls suggest, I am thankful for your forum and guidance.

Driver's license

Hello I need the community's help with an issue. I have now made three trips to the Broward county DMV, each time having to wait at least a month for an appointment. Each time I visit they tell me I'm missing a document and each time I get it and return it's something else. I am trying to get a driver's license. I'm currently in the process of adjusting status. I completed biometrics in October. I brought all my receipts, I797, I485, I130, marriage license, birth certificate for myself and husband. Stamped I797 with biometrics attached, Passport, results of the written driver's test a copy of my driver's license from my country of birth. Now I go back today, the clerk is telling me I need to have a I130 approval notice. How would I have that if I'm currently adjusting status? Does anyone have any recommendations on what I could do? Thank you
