Texas In State Tuition
I'm currently living in Texas, Austin, but I will be moving to a different state due to getting a better paying job elsewhere. I have kids though, so this is a bit more of a complicated situation. Texas clearly has more state-universities which are better, after all. If I rent out the house I have in Texas and keep paying property taxes, would it count as living in-state when my kids are ready to go to college?

Hello, I'm doing delivery for Uber Eats on the side. Now, my car is fully insured, but do I also need to get a commercial insurance? The policy says that I should, but do I really need to? I'm worried about my rates going up if my insurance company gets automatically notified. If you know anything, please tell me here.
can you apply for a SSN while waiting for physical green card
hi, my embassy interview for my spousal GC in germany is on november 29th.
after i arrive in the U.S., i’m gonna have to wait for my physical green card to arrive.
while waiting, am i gonna be able to apply for a SSN already? or do i have to wait until i have the actual permanent resident card in hand?
help would be greatly appreciated!

I am looking for some advice. I was offered a job in March starting this September. I thought my EAD based on 485 would be here by now but that is not the case. My future boss changed my start date to October 3rd. Any tips on how I can ask for another extension without seeming like I’m being difficult?

I am trying to find some information and gain understanding on how are people able to find employers that would sponsor them H1 visa and they are not even is the US. I am looking job positions for Business Analyst with Bachelors in Engineering degree and 10 years of work experience.

My visa for reentry with EAD/I512
I got EAD at March with I-512 Advance parole.
I worked in the United States but because of housing problem, I went back to South Korea. I am pursuing jobs again to enter into the United States with job offers and confirmation about being selected. F1 visa is attached because I entered into the US as a student. I got information from other community that I cannot use this visa for reentry.
My hiring agency ask about my visa but EAD from pending of Green Card is not visa. What can I call my current visa? I visited at i94 website. At there, what will be Class of Admission in this case? And will be Alien number used for my record here? Will Citizenship be remained as South Korea having permanent residence only with point of view about Admission record . Finally, through Canada with eTA, can I go through the border by using public transportation? My case is a NIW petition with master’s degree by myself without a sponsorship.
Job change after EB3 to EB3 upgrade and GC approval ?
Hi,
My GC was approved with EB3 to EB2 upgrade. I continued with the petitioning company. I have now got a very good job offer from a leading company. It has been 3 months since GC approval. Can I move onto the new company or should I wait 6 months ?
I do not want my naturalization impacted by any wrong move.

Hello guys I just received my work permit last week. When I was applying in the winter I got many many jobs 6 times I expedited my work permit I lost jobs and I couldn’t get my permit. Winter time I have a opportunity but I didn’t have my work permit but today I have work permit but there is no job. I have management experience I can speak English I have MBA. I can find jobs that 12$/ p hour or 60-70$/p hour. there is no more middle job. all middle level jobs taken . is there anyone in this position struggling?

I have an offer from a new employer whereas I havent yet resigned from my old employer as My I485 is still pending with them. i have my GC EAD Card received and I140 approved. My GC application is 180 days beyond pending(PD - May 21, 2021). the new job is same profile. I also have an approved, valid and stamped L1A visa until 2024.
can I continue with my current employer until I get GC and start new job with new employer on my GC EAD?

Hello, all.
I have experdite question for I-9.
My job will be start tomorrow, and I and my manager will fill I-9 out together. But problem is...... my I-485 case was approved in this weekend, and my status is lawful permanent resident.
Can I use my EAD for I-9? If it's impossible because my status would be permanent resident, how can I show them a proof of permanent residency?? Is it possible for completing I-9 as a lawful permanent resident even if I currently don't have physical greencard??
If anyone had same experience or know how to solve this issue, please let me know......
EB3 to EB2 switching companies
I have an opportunity in a company C. I got downgraded from EB2 to EB3 in Nov 2020 at Company A,waited 180 days for portability and switched a new company B. my EB2 is current, can I move to company C to get my GC?or Company A to get my GC if we have to make sure perm i-140 under EB2 should be filed criteria? thank you
new resident and pregnant
I need help, I am a new resident as of may 2022 but I am also pregnant is there a coverage for pregnancy? I tried Medicaid but I got denied because it says I am not eligible I have to be a resident for 5 years. my husband is a citizen but he can’t do anything either. has anyone experienced this I need help I live in GA
No sponsorship OPT
Please advise what you would do: I am currently on OPT applying for the company which “does not sponsor.” As well, soon, I will be applying for adjusting of status (‘marriage’) and won’t need any sponsorship when my opt finishes. My idea is to start working using my EAD card and wait for the new one to arrive later on. How would you explain to the employer that you do not need a sponsorship?
