Marriage-Based Green Card Interview Experience – Need Advice
Hello everyone, I recently had my marriage-based green card interview, and I wanted to share my experience and ask for your opinions. At the start of the interview, they asked me to update some information on my I-485 application regarding our kids. Afterward, they took our documents and looked at the pictures we had submitted. The officer pointed at people in the pictures and asked who they were. Initially, my wife and I were together during the interview for about an hour. Then they sent my wife out of the room and asked me around 10 questions, including: • Where did we celebrate my birthday ? • where we cut cake? • Where you work before coming to usa? • did i work without work authorization here? • he look also at our bank statements together and point at some transactions and who these people you both send money ? • how much my wife ex boyfriend pay for his son? • Which school does my son go to, and what is its name? • How often do I call my family, and does my wife talk to them? • Whether I have seen or spoken to my wife’s ex-boyfriend (who is the father of her first child)? After my session, they called my wife in and asked her the same questions. Thankfully, our answers were consistent. The interview went smoothly, and everything seemed fine. Before the interview even ended, I received three messages stating “Action Taken” on my case. Does this sound like a good sign? What could this mean? I would love to hear your thoughts or similar experiences. Thank you in advance for your help!
