Statement from abuser
hello all, does an actual statement from the abuser in a vawa case hold much weight? they acknowledge the abuse but has since been in changed person.
Anyone used that kind of statement before?

you gotta see it from the officers perspective. If I were an officer and I see a statement from an abuser I’d immediately flag this case for some many reasons. like someone here said, it could really back fire you.

someone abused you and testified wow. you shouldn’t have contact with your abuser. that’s definitely a red flag.

thank you all. she reached back to me saying she's sorry and willing to help if I need it. I don't trust her.
