Case Processing
i-485 reopened after uscis error. i-765 (C9) renewal is still pending, is it safe to return to work?
I-765 renewal was filed before my ead expired, but it was later denied due to a uscis error on my i-485. USCIS corrected the issue and reopened my i-485 but EAD card has expired & my newly submitted i-765 is pending. Can i return to work?
Better late than never LOL
After a really long wait, my wife’s Green Card was finally approved today. What a relief. Regardless of everything that happens around us, we plan on having an amazing year. Good luck everyone still waiting. Stay positive and keep your head up!

Post interview status update
The interview was completed and the case must be reviewed
Hi all,
Just had my(derivative) applicant's I-485-based interview today in the Seattle Field office.
My spouse(primary applicant) was also present. Most of the questions were targeted towards me.
The interview lasted for almost 50 minutes, it went well overall except for the fact that we manage finances differently. We use Venmo/Zelle and do not use a joint account. I had printed proof of monthly Zelle/Venmo transactions between the two of us which had scheduled monthly transactions toward the mortgage.
Apart from that we submitted a marriage certificate, lease agreements, home title, car title, home insurance, bills, etc which had our names.
Showed trip details, and color photos of engagement and marriage. Also showed additional marriage photos on the phone as we were asked for additional photos.
In the end, the officer said everything looked good and they did not need any additional documents. They also said that approval depends on whether my PD is current. They said that they needed to verify the Yes/No security questions that were asked. So, in short, I wasn't told on the spot if I was interviewed.
An hour after the interview, I got a status update "The interview was completed and the case must be reviewed".
What does this mean? Past Reddit history searches don't look promising and it took months for people to get approved. Some were even asked for a secondary interview.
Honestly, a little disappointed to receive that status as I have heard cases where people got approved on the same or the next day but I didn't hear about this status earlier.
Thanks!
Update today
Hello fam, I just woke up to a text message and an email that USCIS has taken action on our case. I signed in and see where today they have scheduled and interview for us. It’s exciting, I was kind of hoping we wouldn’t have one but getting this info/update is better than just waiting and hoping. They will be sending us info about our interview in the mail.
