URGENT -> travel to USA when i-130 is pending (consular processing)
I did file form 130 for my parents recently. can they travel to USA while USCIS is looking at their 130 case? it’s a consular processing.
in past my parents have traveled multiple times to USA, mostly short visits. they have valid 10 year B1-B2 visa. they never had any immigration issues, never over stayed.
do you think they will face any issues at the port of entry or if their pending I 130 will have any adverse effect due to travel?
response to service request from USCIS
came via email the day after I called and asked for it: took them one week to reply:
“We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. We have had to perform additional review, and this has caused a delay in processing time. Your case is currently in line for processing and adjudication. Cases are processed in the order in which they were received.”
so basically no info 😩 my RFE response was received by USCIS September 8th (medical)
NVC Processing Time After Documents Submitted
Hi All,
I was wondering if anybody here has any idea about how long does it take to the NVC to review the documents submitted for a Visa Processing?
My case is a I-130 approved in Nov and sent to NVC for visa processing in Nov too. I have submitted all the documents required and I’m curious about how long does it take to get an answer from NVC.

My Case was denied. Really stressed!
I submitted my case in March and I got a RFIE regarding my joint sponsor. (My Joint sponsor is retired and I attached more bank statements with her last 3 SSA 1099 Forms and assets. I sent the documents Less than a month ago)
The RFIE Specified my sponsor qualified but needed more evidence regarding my joint sponsor
Now I need to wait for the denial letters. What are my best alternatives? I am married to an US Citizen and I graduated from college with my F1 Visa last June.
I am very stressed because I do not have a job, I lose my job offer and I do not know if I should appeal or issue a new I-485. Also I got two additional people that are willing to be my joint sponsor.

Had anyone been assigned to El Paso field office for eb 485 application?

EAD combo card received !! no SSN
I already receive the combo card and my interview hasn’t been scheduled yet. do you get an SSN before or after the interview when your case is approved ?
Is there an ID number that they assign to you in your combo card so you can also open bank accounts, credit cards etc.. or when do they assign an SSN for you ?

Case status updates after interview
Hey all,
I did my interview on October 1st at the San Jose fo, and got the paper that it says the case must be reviewed. We feel like the interview went really good, no tricky questions or anything. But my case status haven’t change since, still says “interview was scheduled”.
My husband is a USC, so my process is AOS through marriage. Has anyone had this same experience? How long did you have to wait for an answer?

hi,
I did get rfe for my case in June 2021 and my lawyers replied in first week of september 2021. it’s been 70 days until now, the status has just been that the rfe documents have been received.
Is there any any specific time line I should be waiting or change my processing from regular to premium?
