Case Processing
I-485 pending , marry and add spouse
I am currently residing outside of usa . I intend to marry a U.S.-based EB-3 applicant who is an RN nurse. She filed her I-485 on April 26, 2023, when the Date for Filing was current. Her I-140 has been approved, i-485 pending and she is currently in the U.S. on EAD/AP while waiting for her priority date (now retrogressed to April 3, 2023 under Final Action Date) to become current. We are planning to marry in Nepal soon, before her green card is approved. After marriage, she plans to return to the U.S. and update her I-485 to include me as a derivative spouse. What is the correct process for her to add me, and what forms or steps are required to ensure I can obtain an immigrant visa through her EB-3 petition once her priority date is current, lso how much time it stake for i-485 to get approved after the date being current, and what are the steps for both the person?"
I130
Hi everyone, just trying to bring some light, for this process a few things I learned is, don’t compare your case to others, usually people have prior marriages, some visa issues or marriage too close to the filling date, so that requires more evidence, and more evidence = more time. I know we all go through the same route but every case is particular, why some people move faster than others? case complexity and service center processing time. Some cases are way more simple, and straightforward, no mistakes in the form filling, so again, don’t compare your case to other people because every single one of them have their own particularity. If you fill the I130 correctly with all information, have no prior marriage and never had any visa issues, had proof of bonafide marriage, it’s likely your case will move faster than others. But even taking longer or not, I hope everyone gets their case approved 🫶🏼
God bless

Let's do a poll on how many people are pending/ approved for each group of dates
I will be creating this poll every 2-3 weeks to take a pulse check
It's worth mentioning that folks who have already been approved are unlikely to be active on this forum. But we can compare the numbers from previous polls.
l'm mainly interested in comparing the pending counts from previous polls. (Last one was posted on June 9th)

Our I-485 & I-730 Double Interview 🇺🇸
One week ago, my wife and I had a joint interview - my asylum-based I-485 and her I-730 petition. Same room, same officer. Waited ~15 mins, offcier called our number, raised our right hands, and swore in. ✋
i-730, The officer asked my wife 5-7 basic questions: my birthday, job, address, any crimes. Then took her fingerprints and photo
For my I-485, I got the usual address and random security questions - like if I ever worked in prostitution (seriously 😅), overstayed a visa, or applied for protection from removal.
At the end, I shared our almost 10 year photo album, bills, and insurance - she smiled and said they’d try to wrap it up the same day
No online update appeared until today - now it says my green card is being produced! 🎉 My wife’s I-730 still shows no change yet. But honestly, we didn’t even get online updates that interviews were scheduled, keep your eyes on your mail box, and all these rankings in thia app doesn’t really matter at all!
The best of luck everyone

I-131 Vawa
I applied for the I-131 and I-765 on May 23, 2024. According to the USCIS processing times, the average wait time is 11 months. Starting July 1, based on USCIS processing times, I will be able to submit an inquiry because I still haven’t received any response regarding the I-131. What are the chances that, once I file a case inquiry for being outside normal processing time, my case might be reviewed faster? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks!!
