GC pending
I got my asylum approval in march 2024, and applied to green card in July 2024, now it is been more then 17 months since submitting my green card application, and 9 months since completing the one year waiting period. any idea or recommendation?

I made a big post yesterday about the same situation. I tried to expedite it through normal channels, then filed mandamus and got approved in 10 days.

looks like it’s been 16 months. The USCIS website right now says 19.5 months is the average time. I suggest you wait 4 more months and then file a writ of Mandamus(sometime in March). I know waiting feels very difficult but it’s just 4 more months. however I hope you get your GC very soon and won’t have to file mandamus writ.

@Mo Mo it is 17 months, uscis allow you to file early so it is okay to call it 17 months
