Case Processing
10 Month after interview no decision
10 Month after interview no decision this is frustrating 🤦🏽♂️ my case is from march,29 2024. I have done senator inquiry more than 40 days ago and no answers from them yet. there’s a lot of people getting approved in less than 1 year and I feel stuck. it’s not fair. Am I the only one in the same situation?

Passport Expiry!
So our visa has reached the NVC! However up to now I had not truly acknowledged that my passport expires in 6 months from now! What issues would it cause if I was to apply for a new passport now and then fill in the forms on NVC? I’m concerned that the response would come back after expiry!
Received two emails last week saying i485 is approved and card has been produced but YSCIS online portal (as well as Emma) are saying case is still in progress and has not been approved yet.

Has anyone experienced the same situation and what happened next? Company lawyer is just asking to wait and there is nothing to do.
Congressman response
I recently had my congressman do an inquiry for me and this was the response they received regarding my case, anyone in similar situation?

I filed my app with my medicals. I was talking to Emma consistently throughout - it seems like after the first silent update my interview was waived and then the case got transferred from NBC to Brooklyn field office. I am confused because I am seeing a lot of approvals post my PD and filing date but when I asked Emma the last 2 times apparently they can't tell me where my Service Center is or they are just saying that its with NBC. Did anyone else have a similar timeline / know whats next ?

I have one more year in my head. I want to know how early I have ti apply for renewal and how long the wait is being.

Inquiry
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records confirm that your constituent’s case is pending at the National Benefits Center (NBC) at this time.
USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely and efficient manner while also complying with all relevant directives. While the processing steps for most applications or petitions are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays.
Although your constituent’s file is still physically located at the NBC, the scheduling of your constituent's I-485 interview and the decision to expedite the case is within the jurisdiction of the field Office (Atlanta Field Office). Once the field office schedules this case for an interview, your constituent will receive an interview notice stating the date and time to appear for the scheduled interview. Once the interview is scheduled, the NBC will then forward the file to the field office. Once further action is taken, a notice will be sent to the address on file.
