Passport Expiry!
So our visa has reached the NVC! However up to now I had not truly acknowledged that my passport expires in 6 months from now! What issues would it cause if I was to apply for a new passport now and then fill in the forms on NVC? I’m concerned that the response would come back after expiry!

It all depends on the type of visa, whether it's a consular adjustment or an in-USA visa. Generally, they recommend having a passport valid for at least one year to account for any delays and avoid setbacks in your process.
