Case Processing
F3 approved today! 14 years of waiting
Hi everyone! I’ve been following others’ timelines and it was helpful to soothe my anxiety, so here’s mine.
- My F3 priority date is April 12, 2012, and it became current as of the visa bulletin of July 2026.
- My I130 was approved in 2017.
- I filed my I485 on October 2025.
- I had my biometrics done on November 2025, when I had the first FTA0 (three on that same day; I considered them as one).
- The second FTA0 was an update on May 11, 2026, and the message changed to “currently processing.”
- The third FTA0 was on September 1, 2026, but there were no new updates; it pointed back to the May 11 update.
- On September 10, there were two silent updates with a few hours apart.
- Twenty-four hours later, my case was approved on September 11, 2026, with two H008.
- We had a few other silent updates in June, July, and August.
Nothing else happened apart from that. No RFE, no interview, nothing. Just a bunch of silence, anxiety and prayers.
May God bless all of us 🙏🏻

Derivative I-485 approved before principal — anyone else?
I’m the principal applicant in an EB-3 case and my wife is my derivative. I was also affected by the USCIS adjudication hold involving nationals of the 39 countries (Venezuela) since December.
My timeline:
* October 16, 2025: Both I-485s filed
* December 2025: Case affected by the 39-country adjudication hold
* August 26, 2026: My I-485J approved
* August 28, 2026: Wife’s derivative I-485 approved
* Today: My principal I-485 is still pending
USCIS says my case is at the El Paso Field Office, interview waived, complete with no missing documents, and actively being reviewed.
Has anyone had their derivative approved before the principal? If so, how long did it take for the principal to get approved?
I got rfe
please help me on this. my case pending since 2022. I got arrested by ice in nov 2025. last week I got released. but I get rfe of good faith and share residency. my case was pending for long time. 730
I received approval on my I-730 petition, and I also had an open I-589 case. I was scheduled for a Master Calendar Hearing in November. I want to close the I-589 case, meaning file a Motion to Terminate. But my attorney told me I will still have to attend the Master Calendar Hearing, and the judge might not grant my Motion to Terminate.Please give me advice,who have same situation?

Replacing Valid C08 EAD Not Returned by ICE
Has anyone filed for a replacement C08 EAD after their valid card was lost or not returned while in ICE custody?
My C08 EAD is still valid until 2030. After being detained by ICE, my physical EAD was not returned to me when I was released. I have tried to recover it through ICE, but so far they have not been able to locate it.
USCIS Case Status still shows the original EAD as “Card Was Produced/Delivered,” and I have not received any notice saying that my employment authorization was revoked or terminated.
I am considering filing Form I-765 for a replacement card, but I am concerned about whether my recent ICE detention/removal proceedings or the asylum EAD clock could affect the replacement application.
Has anyone been in a similar situation and successfully received a replacement C08 EAD?
Did USCIS simply process it as a replacement of the existing valid EAD, or did they re-evaluate your C08 eligibility/EAD clock?
Any recent experience would be very helpful. Thank you.

RFE Response. LA field office.
Hi! My cousin's RFE package was delivered to the LA FO on 08/31, but the status hasn't updated to 'RFE received' yet. It seems like a lot of people get an update within a week. Her deadline is 09/14. She tried contacting USCIS, but they told her she needs to wait 60 days. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Wom correspondence from Defendants
Hello, I need some feedback. I filed a writ of mandamus pro se and used a different address. I’m afraid that the government may want to contact me via postage mail and it won’t get to me. How did USCIS or defendant reach you to ask for extension? was it by a letter in the mail, by phone or email?
