AOS approved -San Jose field office
we interviewed today and were told on the spot that our case will be approved. we should expect the card in 30 days. My EAD is still pending but we got interview date sooner than EAD approval.
Pretty standard questions:
how we met, where did the wedding take place, did we go for honeymoon, how did I enter the country, where I graduated from and where I was working now. The officer only looked at all of our pictures after those questions, we took about 40 of them. interview lasted 20 minutes.
Wishing all the best to everyone else waiting.

Dallas FO - case approved
Hi,
Just want to share my timeline with you guys, I went to the interview yesterday and the case was approved today.
The officer is really friendly but kinda wired. Our interview was almost 50 mins and he didn’t really ask any questions, he was so busy talking about himself. He asked how we met, what my husband does and yes/no questions.
I know this process is long and painful but good luck to all of you!

Approved!
The entire process took about 6 months. We hired an immigration attorney to file paperwork and prepare us for interview. We also hired an interpreter via phone, which was appreciated by the officer and made things smoother.

EAD/AP approved almost in one whole year
Approved after multiple follow ups when the case went outside normal processing times. Not sure which one of the below helped.
- First service request raised online, elapsed after 30 days without any update
- Raised second service request calling the service center which will reach its 30 days in another 5 days
- Submitted request with ombudsman indicating all the above reasons about 2 weeks back.
God only knows if USCIS approved without even looking into any of the above. Finally 2 done and waiting for 485 next!

interviewed today and got approved on spot
married to LPR, FO SJ.
i had my interview today the IO was super nice and polite. He even helped me research my immagration questions during the interview.
the whole process was conversational. no tricky questions at all. went through my i130 and 485 applications and confirmed there’s no changes to those. asked how did we start our relationship, did we met each other’s parents, when did we move in together, it it our first marriage, did we ever have kids. he asked if we have additional marriage supports. we did prepare a whole folder for him. We went though our photo album together while he was also tying things into his computer. he said he would make a decision today. he took our joint tax return only and asked us to keep the remaining supports with us as he’s got enough supports in his folder.
I asked him if there’s anything else he needs, he’s like no, and asked if we watch a TV show. we did and we chatted on that shows for a while. then he said congrats you are approved. Online status changed to New Card is Being Produced in two hours.
this community helps me a lot during the GC process and I am really grateful! hope you all get approved soon

Finally Approved
It took a while but it’s finally approved and a day before my birthday!!! I’m so happy. I had contacted the ombudsman on October 7 and they emailed me on October 19 that they reviewed my case and contacted uscis on my behalf. I’m pretty sure my approval was as a result of their intervention. If your case is at least 2 months past the posted processing time and you’ve exercised all other contact channels with uscis without any response I definitely recommend giving them a try.

I-130 for my Daughter approved, what next?
just got an approval notice for my daughters I-130! At least some positivity finally. Although, we filed hers on Dec 2020 and filed her AOS in April 2021. My question is, what does the approved I-130 do for her now? and how does it impact her I-485? (btw she is 1 year old so not sure if she will even have an interview)
