NEBRASKA UPDATE 💃🏻
After 11 months and 1 day of waiting, I finally got approved for my I-765 and I-131!!!!! New card is being produced. I-485 is still pending. My filing date is November 20, 2020 and I’m EB3. Great news for my Nebraska filers! I tried expediting my case before because I’m a nurse and due to financial hardship but got rejected immediately with asking for evidence. I then spoke with my congressman and his office submitted an expedite request. A month or so after that, I got approved. I believe contacting my congressman helped! so try that if you haven’t yet!!! Hope things move along quickly for everyone!!! Stay patient and best of luck to all ❤️❤️❤️

congrats. Mine is RD 10/30 at Nebraska and still no EAD. Glad that the congressman channel worked for you. for me, it didn't and still waiting after almost 4 month of unemployment! fingers crossed.

@Perla, what was the reason of expedite? what types of documents did you submit? can you please explain briefly?
Perla SOct 24, 2021
@jeenal, go on your congressman’s website, there is usually a spot where you can ask for assistance with government paperwork or USCIS cases. If you can’t find it on their website, call their office directly and ask for them to expedite. hopefully they will be responsive and help you out! best of luck 🙏🏼

@ethan, Thank youu!! Yes, I remember we both had similar timeframes! I am sorry they are still so behind on your case, I know how it feels. How come the congressman couldn’t help? have you tried again? I wish you the best and I really hope they process your papers soon! another channel I heard about was contacting the ombudsman. I don’t know much detail on this but maybe you can try that?
Perla SOct 24, 2021
@diya, I initially submitted expedite request myself based on humanitarian reason (I’m a nurse during covid-times) and financial hardship (unemployed for almost a year). They immediately rejected my request without asking for evidence. The second time I went through my congressman to expedite. I gave them a document from my employer saying they really need me to start working due to shortage of staff. They contacted USCIS and then a month or so later, I got approved.

Perla SOct 26, 2021
@diya, 6 years since you applied for permit? or for greencard? or what? that’s a long time if so… my expedite request was denied immediately within 24 hrs and without request for evidence too the process is exhausting, stay patient 🙏🏼❤️ easier said than done I know..
