@Ade Ade: You proved your bonafide marriage to the officer so they will still issue your gc. However, do you have access to the address where you’re supposed to receive it? If it gets sent back, that may be an issue. Prepare however, through an attorney, when it’s time to remove conditions.

@ade, don’t worry too much . God will take control and more importantly, police is already involved and you evidence to support your claim. In a worst scenario, you will apply for VAWA . Yiu have a good case with God on yiur side .

@Ade, you can notify the USCIS of an address change, so that you rest assured that you will receive the communication from them. 2’ndly, obtain a police report from the Thursday night incident of domestic violence. 3’rdly, if and only if you don’t feel confident enough to wait, please contact a VAWA immigration attorney. @Ade: You have a green card, that should not even be a question. Once your green card has been issued, your only worry should be removing conditions.

why would they think it’s a sham marriage? they have a child together. A couple had a disagreement and police were called, that sounds a real a marriage as it gets lol

I don't think having a child together is the ultimate proof of bonafide marriage. There are people out there that would do whatever it takes to get that GC.

What is bonafide proof in your opinion? To remove conditions on a green card it’s ok if you are separated, divorced etc as long as you can prove you entered the marriage in good faith. If you speak to any lawyer, they will tell you the best proof is a child in a marriage. How many people do you know who got deported with a 2 year green card who had a child not withstanding a criminal record or failure to file to remove conditions? It makes 0 sense at this point to deport him (as long as he follows the law etc) because uscis doesn’t want taxpayers to pay for the child.
