Great Christmas/New year gift
Finally done with this journey!
It was for sure a rollercoaster with RFEs for both the I-140 and I-485. Definitely more stressful for the latter.
Had to deal with a stubborn civil surgeon who messed up my form and refused to admit his fault and comply with the official RFE request. Ended up having to find a new one and pay again.
Lesson learned: always go with a trusted recommendation from a friend or others.
Also had to apply for OPT via premium processing simultaneously under a tight timeline.
Surprisingly, I-485 approval came just a few days after the OPT submission. OPT EAD also got approved that Sunday. Both cards arrived fast before Christmas via USPS Priority Mail. Glad it wasn’t much of a delay during the holiday season.

is it safe flying with ADIT stamp while on process?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been in the VAWA process for about a year and a half now and had a few questions. I previously had a 2-year green card and started my VAWA application while I still held it. When my green card expired, I visited a USCIS office to request a passport stamp (ADIT), but since my passport was close to expiring, they issued me a temporary ADIT page instead—a document that functions like a 1-year green card, rather than stamping my passport.
My question is: can I use this document to travel internationally, or is it not recommended?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

my vawa approved, removal preceeding dismissed by immigration judge after opla agreed joint motion to dismiss. already paid my current lawyer 5000$ for respond RFE Vawa and removal motion to dismiss. but I want to file I-485 my lawyer is asking for 5000$ none negotiable price which I feel is too much any body know good lawyer who can help for a lesser amount…. thank you.
