No update for 1 year after interview
Priority date: Sept 2021
I had my interview on May 2024 in the local field office. It has been almost a year and my case status still says “Interview was Scheduled “ and it’s hasn’t changed for more than a year now. My interview was okay, just normal questions about i485, current sponsor, how I found the sponsor and so on. I haven’t received any rfe’s yet and looks like the case is still in the field office.
Anyone with similar scenario and not getting any updates even after the interview? Anyone has any idea why they haven’t updated anything?
I know my PD is not current but still not seeing any update even after this long is surprising.
Has anyone recently received their green card after being granted asylum? I’m still waiting and wondering how much longer it might take.

I filed at NBC. Case transferred to a non-field office as my RFE letter was from there. Then it was transferred back to NBC waiting a visa number to be assigned and approved there.
Good luck to everyone waiting here. Your day will come very soon, hang in there!

Hello
I need an advice, I just got a letter in my mailbox from my field office USCIS in Sacramento, it states that I have been scheduled for an interview but the date on it is 16th April which was yesterday, I checked the post office stamp and saw that the mail was sent to post office on 15th April and today is 17th which I just received the mail. Any one in same situation? what should I do? the date already passed, will I be penalized???
anyone file i485 to Chicago lockbox this month? it’s only been a week for me but I’m just seeing what others timelines have been for a receipt number
filed 4/10 to Chicago lockbox. how long until I get a receipt? can’t stop checking every day and reading up Reddit but I haven’t seen any recent posts.
