second i485 interview
my husband and I (USC) went to the first interview on Jan 2, 2025. the i130 was approved the next day. we just learned of a second i485 interview in May.
since the i130 was approved, does this mean that they believe our marriage is valid but something else may be going on? why are we called for a second interview? should we hire a lawyer?

Here is my timeline in Long Island New York, the Uscis is located at holtsville Long Island and my oath ceremony will be at 100 federal plaza islip. My application had a name change as well.

my EAD finally approved after 67days …
I notice that my progress timeline went from 3weeks to 3 months I just lost hope 😂😂 then I’m currently driving in ATL with my wife to see my brother I got one of those emails then I logged in immediately and saw the approval notice … I’m so happy atleast there’s movement

40 days since marriage based interview and no update. Is it normal to wait this long after interview?
We had a smooth marriage-based interview that lasted less than 20 minutes. The officer said we would hear something in 2-3 weeks. However, the case is still stuck in “interview was scheduled” with no updates. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
