I just got this message last week from USCIS. I’m still hoping to get my green card soon.
I would love to travel, but I’m not sure at the moment I don’t know what to do. I might wait for my green card for a couple weeks. If I don’t get it in couple weeks, I’ll travel with the Travel document.

i do have rtd . it s been 5 months. I just skipped my travel plan with my 2 toddler and wife. I didn’t want to risk it. but I really wanna go!

crazy part is it s only valid one 1 year. even if i get gc in 6 months i can not travel. because u need travel documents. damn!

I would recommend you to wait few more weeks to be safe. But, my RTD was valid for 2 years.

you can still travel with your refugee travel document and return back safe as long as you don’t have any criminal records then you are fine and safe forget about that fake news on social media

you can travel any 3rd country with this travel document. you don’t need green card or any passport.

@Rezaul’s Resettlement are you sure its a Refugee travel document not parole , & if it is RTD when did you get approved

@Rezaul’s Resettlement i got mine RTD last year but it was valid for 1 year , 2 years its really surprising,when did they start issuing 2 year ?

I understand that, typically, a Refugee Travel Document for asylees is valid for one year. But in my case, it was issued for two years—I’m not sure how or why that happened! Now, waiting for green card, it’s been 14.5 months already! Keep me in your thoughts.

Got my travel document yesterday.yay
after I got my travel document I called USCIS about my green card and this lady is so nice. She says they are working on it. I will get it before November. I’m so happy.
