I’m going to start the process for my n400, (through marriage) 2 years ago my tax preparer filed me as “single “ mistakenly, my husband and I file our taxes but not jointly, we file separately, for other reasons, will that be a problem when I go for my interview? Is it mandatory to file jointly?
Are there any chances that interview date process could be expedited?
Hi everyone,
With my case number and invoice number, I logged in to NVC today. However, the start next process is locked and my profile says, "This petition is not eligible for further processing at this time due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visa issuance prescribed by law. A petition will be retained by the national visa center (NVC) until an immigrant visa becomes available".
Would it be possible to request an expedite of this process? If so, would it be best to do so through a state senator? or myself? I am so sad! :(

Just an update. I received an email requesting my medical exam to be sent in. Looks like things are moving along. my last active review was Feb 2022. I have since sent my medical but have not received an update on my case status or through my USCIS account. It has only been 1 week since my medical was delivered to the Atlanta FO address given in the email. Keeping the faith. With God, all things are possible.
EAD finally came
I just got my work card in the mail. Waiting on the social security card, not sure how long it takes. I-131 still not approved yet. It’s a bit weird that the only email notification I got from Uscis was the day I had my biometrics done, nothing before or after that. I had to login to my Uscis account to check for updates by myself. Saw that my card was mailed on usps informed delivery.
I pray those of you waiting get good news soon.

got this update today- it took a little time in the middle but we are finally there. I found the timelines helpful so for those interested, sharing below. We are just waiting on the card and then it will be time to celebrate when we have it in hand. keep positive for those still waiting, it’s a hard waiting game but it’s worth it! #newcardisbeingproduced

1am hearing some news, that USCIS might have exhausted all the available EB-India visas for this fiscal year. EB1 would likely retrogress further and the pending i485 applications might not be processed for GC until October (next fiscal year). These are all speculation by some folks in the online forums. The final word comes from the analysis by USCIS statisticians.

decision after expedition
I was able to expedite my i485 through my state senator. The first time, USCIS issued a RFIE for I-130 and I-485. After we sent in the responses, the senator filed for expedited processing again (which was accepted). does anybody have experience with how long it will take USCIS to adjudicate?

hi all! husband and I have an interview in Newark coming up on 5/9, does any one have any advice for this interview or experience they could share?
I’m preparing any and all documentation I can bring with me but still nervous. due to Covid, my husband and I had our wedding (not legally married) in Spain in July 2021 and then legally married in the USA on Nov 2021… backwards and not as intended but desperate to be together especially after the craziness of Covid. any have a similar experience without any issues?

First interview as Stoke interview
I received my Ead card a week ago, got request on email for medical Rfe and 2 days after that got a mail saying that I was scheduled for a Stoke’s interview. I never had any interview before but did send Rfe for bonafide marriage in October 2022. I am confused what to expect. Anyone went through the same?
AP through Seattle
My dad has been granted AP and plans to visit his mom in Mexico shes 102 so it’s urgent. His lawyer highly advices against it, but he didn’t have anything on record that came up that could be of concern. Have any of you came back with AP through Seattle airport? what was your experience like?
I should also mention he is a VAWA applicant and recieved his work authorization.
