Transition from STEM-OPT to EB-2
I’m working under STEM-OPT as an epidemiologist. My STEM-OPT expires June 30 2023. I got approved for NIW priority date is April 18 2023. What options do I have to maintain my current job after my OPT expires in June? Is it true that I cannot file for adjustment of status or employment card until my priority date becomes current?

I want to share my experience today at the interview..
So, we have scheduled to appear at the Newark Fo at 12.45pm. we entered the building at 12.30 and waited at the waiting area almost an hour and called by name to the officer’s room. He welcomed us and seated.. took picture “only me” beneficiary.. and the officer asked my name and dob to confirm.. and started to look at my case.. said you have approved I130. I said yes. asked my passport.. gave it to him and he ask me if there is anything I want to say about my situation since I overstayed my F1 visa.. I clearly explained how I regretted and never wanted to be in such situation like..
took my finger prints..
didn’t ask anything to my USC wife (I think just because we have our I130 approved)
asked my birth certificate.. looked at it and entered something to system and gave it back..
asked my medical and I said that I already submitted a month ago cos received an email to submit. He found it and opened it and tried to scan it to the system but there was a problem with the scanner and he said I’ll do it later..
that was pretty much it..
He said I will go through to files later and make decision in 2 weeks.. if approved you will receive the green card following 2 weeks..
we left the building..
status did not change yet.. let’s see how long it’s going to take..

Need help
I give up, because I-130 was approved on july 29 2021…. They keep actively reviewing my case every year… second actively reviewing was on Dec 29 2022…. july 28 will be 5 years of marriage and our son is 5 years… My work authorization expiring january 2024.

Case remains pending (I485)
Hy, Guys hope you are all fine . My I485 goes case remain pending in November 2022 . I have seen its happen with many people’s . My question is anybody got interview or Rfe after its case remain pending or anybody knows anyone who’s get interview during his case remains pending. Because I heard that they complete working on that cases and when our Pd comes current we can get decision so, thats why chances of interview is very less in this scenario is this right ?

PD is current and interview is done, but immigrant visa number is NOT available immediately?

EB1 and my priority date is on 01/26/2022. I'm Chinese. I had a 485 interview 2 weeks ago at Los Angeles Field Office, and the interview went okay. Now my case is getting:
"case remains pending. We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you.
Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application"
anything I could do other than waiting?
