Applying for I-539 after denial
Hello y'all,
I have been facing a complex case where I applied for an I-539 for Change of Status from E2 to F1 visa. This was dismissed on the basis of "no-show" since I did not attend my biometric appointment.
I then applied for a motion to reopen I-290B in September 2022, within the time limit they gave me.
That motion too was denied in mid April. I then asked for case assistance from the Ombudsman who were not really helpful as well as well as through my congressman.
After much deliberation, I decided to apply for a new I-539 after talking with multiple USCIS call agents. By this time, I have overstayed my visa and am no longer in status. Knowing that, I still applied for a new I-539 explaining my unfortunate situation.
My question is this: If someone who had their I-539 denied and their motion to reopen denied and is out of status applies for a new I-539, what happens and can USCIS still forgive my overstay? I just want to complete my degree on time and gain employment. Simply missing a biometric should not have such harsh consequences.

anyone received this message?
anyone had this message after asking your congressman to get involved ??? what does "Further review" mean???
"This is in response to your inquiry relating to your constituent, Jade Jagger. Our records indicate that the case is under further review by an officer at the Chicago Field Office. All evidence submitted in support of the application for the immigration benefit being sought is being examined.
Cases may require additional review for a variety of reasons. While the processing steps for most applications are completed quickly, a small percentage of cases involve unresolved issues that may result in adjudication delays. It is difficult to predict with accuracy when this review will be completed. As soon as a decision or notice of action is made, your constituent will be sent a notice."
What happens next after entering the USA for the first time?
My visa recently got approved and I entered the US this Friday. and I'm not sure what happens next, presumably I wait for my GC and SSN to be mailed to the address I'm living at here? is there any way I can track this with USCIS/CEAC to see the progress? it's in the immediate relative category, spouse of USC, went through consular processing.
Quit the job after 1 year of contact
Hi everyone,
I just have a quick question. My question is I finished 1 year of contact with my sponsor, now I am thinking about can I quit the job at all after 1 year or I need to work just 1-2 days/week to maintain the paycheck?
Because I haven’t received my GC yet, so I scare in the case if USCIS send me a request to ask about my lastest paychecks to show them the evidence that I worked for my sponsor, and then I don’t have it because I quited after 1 year.
What should I do with that case? Any recommendation? Thank you in advance!
