I-140 premium processing
Upgraded to pp for EB2-NIW petition. It's been 15 days since it was accepted, but there has been no decision yet, I know it max 45 days, but I'm curious and wondering why the delay in deciding? Good or bad signs when delayed?

6+ publications with about 200 citations.
Or does uscis officers hold off on approvals to slow down the heap of files piling their desk?
Am thinking maybe the quicker an officer approves or closes a case, the more the supervisor loads him/her with additional pending files. 🤔

Priority Date
My immigration options are given below:
October 2022: My employer filed PERM, but not yet approved.
January 2023: NIW I-140 approved.
May 2023: EB1A I-140 approved.
I have the following queries:
1) I want to clarify if having an approved PERM means I have obtained the priority date. Is it necessary to file an I-140 after receiving PERM approval through the employer to secure the PERM priority date?
2) If my PERM is not approved, but I file I-485 when EB1A becomes current, what happens if my PERM gets approved after 1 or 2 months of I-485 filing? Can I update the PERM priority date on my submitted I-485 application with the approved PERM? Will this shorten my waiting time for the I-485?

My case status changed to ‘actively reviewing’ this morning, but no approval in the documents tab. Any idea how much longer approval may take? Almost at the one year mark.

Dependent EAD and AP approved but not primary.
I applied adjustment of status @ TSC concurrently without the medicals on August 2022 for me and my dependent. After 10.5 months my dependent’s EAD was approved three days back and right after that the AP was also approved. I am the primary applicant but my EAD and AP has not been approved yet. Do the approvals for primary applicant will soon follow this ? Any experience folks on this, please share.

Got notification from Lawfully that my case is being actively reviewed. Checked online and the approval document was uploaded, although my status remains the same. I’m so thankful! Hope everyone still waiting gets their approvals soon and to the next step, GC.
