I’m principal applicant for my IR1 visa. My wife is a US Citizen. Case Details are mentioned below.

Interview went very well. I gave honest and correct answers to every question that Counsellor Officer asked. I even showed him original Birth Certificate of our daughter issued from government of USA. He issued me 221G & DS5535 and gave me my passport back. I have replied to the DS5535 questionnaire on very next day. I don’t have any travel history though. It’s been more than 140 Days Since my interview and still I’m waiting for my visa.
We are parents of a cute girl. She’s 3 years old now. My wife is expecting our 2nd baby in September 2024.
I just want to get information from you is there any way to expedite my visa at this stage? or what can I do now to be with my family because they are in dire need of me. I shall be very thankful if you please help me in this hard times. I need guidance from you.

I’m slowly losing hope, it hurts to be apart from your loved one and everyday you question when you will reunit again. It will be a year and we still haven’t received a notice or have any expectations. 😔😔

Case status changed to actively being reviewed right after interview.. I had some issues with what filled with the I 485 forms and corrected it with the officer during interview.. Worried how this is going to affect me? Anyone has any similar experiences? Thanks. FYI,I 130 was approved without an interview

Great experience… All went smooth for me and others today that had their documents (ORIGINALS !!!) in order. make sure you upload recent year income tax docs, that your RCMP certificate is the correct one ( one with bar code and no photos or fingerprints on it) , birth certificate, marriage certificate , divorce decree (s) if any, etc…. All must be originals or certified copies - same as what you uploaded to NVC. if that’s all in order, interview part is a breeze and easy. Staff were kind, patient and smiling reassuringly the entire time. CEAC already updated and status shows as “ISSUED”. It will take up to 10 business days to get passport back with a stamp. Good luck to all of you guys and please don’t lose hope… It’s happening to you too, sooner than you think and before you know it, this entire process will just be a distant memory. I feel like a mountain fell off my shoulders today and so will you soon my friends … Grateful to Lawfully and all of you for keeping me sane and not feeling like I’m the only one … Love to all of you ❤️❤️❤️
UPDATE: Passport with visa stamp received today (April 24-2024) !! Two days after the interview! 🙃🇺🇸

I moved to the U.S. over 14 years ago and finally have a green card 😭. I just feel relief more than anything!
Important tip: My I-131 approval and my I-130/I-485 approval was triggered by uploading additional evidence to the “Unsolicited Evidence” section in the portal. Both these approvals came just a few days after we uploaded documents so I would really recommend using it! Good luck all!
