Change of address 🥲
My I485 is pending, it was current when I filed but right after filing the backlog started so as of now it’s not current. But I am in a complicated situation. My work is in a different state and I need to move to a different state due to personal reasons. Is that allowed? Can my residency be in a different state than the state of my sponsor or employment? I need to make sure before I move.

When does USCIS send the RFE, especially for the Medical and maybe employment?
Do they send the RFE when the PD is current or do they send it even before the PD is not current yet?

Hi,
i have a question my husband already had the visa interview for ir1 visa. everything went ok. but before the interview we wanted to change the joint sponsor but the system was not allowing us to edit/ add. So our lawyer recommended us to informed to the consular officer during the interview about the change. she went through all the financial documents of my new joint sponsor. but she says that the papers were good but my visa was not approved until I scan and uploaded the documents in ceac, and as sson as I scanned to send my passport. Anyone knows how long it may take to get my passport back or any updates? thanks #

Just starting our process, so excited and at the same time so crazy how before you start your process you live life pretty normal and once you start the process life seems to be on a standstill.

unauthorized work
has anyone had experiences on admitting unauthorized work experience in the past? I saw many people said it will be waived if you’re married to a citizen, but I’m still a bit hesitant.
* more details: I worked at a restaurant as an waitress for about an year from 2022-2023 to support my own living expenses.
also will putting in that work experience (name of the company…etc) creates any further problems for the company?

Hi guys! I started my process when my husband was a green card holder in 2021. I submitted ONLY my I130 form since that was the process I know a lot of you are going to ask way I just sent the I130 but is a long story… anyway, after they approved my i130 (almost a year an a half later) it took me 3 months to get everything together for my i485, when I was about to send the form, the visa bulletin that I need was no longer current .
I cried a lot. My husband became a citizen and 5 months ago I sent in my i485 and I'm still waiting. Is there anyone else with a case similar to mine? In conclusion, I have already approved the i130 and I am only waiting for the i485.
