I-485 Interview Scheduled – Seeking Guidance
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share that both my wife’s and my I-485 applications have been updated today, and our interview has been scheduled for 07/31.
If anyone has already been through this stage, I’d really appreciate any insights or guidance you can offer regarding the interview process.
Thank you all for your continued support and assistance!
Let’s keep moving forward and stay hopeful for the best outcomes for everyone.
Note: My wife’s combo card was approved on 06/07 and she received the card after 5 days, but mine is still pending.

work permit renewal
Hi,
My vawa was approved last October. And my work permit will be expiring sometime next month. o recently filled for a renewal. However, I don’t think it will receive an extension by the expiration date. in the state of Texas can I renew my drivers license with just my vawa approval?
Removal Procedings after leaving USA before my Case was denied can
Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice or if anyone has faced a similar situation.
I left the U.S. in May 2024, and I had a pending I-485 application at that time. Just recently, I received a Notice to Appear (NTA) and was placed in removal proceedings, even though I’ve not been in the U.S. since last year.
My I-485 was denied on April 4, 2025, which was almost a year after I had already departed the country. I believe USCIS or ICE might not have updated my departure status and assumed I was still present.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
• Can removal proceedings be issued if you’re no longer in the U.S.?
• What’s the best way to handle this?
• Is it possible to file a Motion to Terminate due to lack of jurisdiction?
Any guidance or shared experience would be really helpful. I’m planning to contact an immigration attorney, but would love to hear from this community as well.
Thanks in advance!
hey
Is it true that if my name is spelled wrong on the I-360 approval notice, the same mistake might show up again on my I-485 and green card? I asked my lawyer about this, and he told me it’s fine, that we can just write the correct name when we file the I-485, even though my I-360 was already approved. But I’m worried — should I request a correction now to avoid problems later, or is it really okay to just leave it like that?”

July 2023 PD approved! receipt block: MSC-259-013
Finally! We have been waiting for this day since July 20, 2023 since my EB2 NIW I-140 got approved. Filed I-485 in Nov 2024 after dates of filing table became current. Final action date become current in June 2025. Glad it got sorted out within a month after that. Looking forward to holding the card in my hand soon!
Alhamdulillah.
Wishing luck to you all ✨

asylee AOS
Hi Everyone! What do you think about this pause all the news say online? Do you know anyone that got their AOS ( asylee) approved since March 25th? If yes , did their asylum case got granted from a USICS officer or a IJ? I see people around saying that the ones that got granted by a IJ are the ones that are paused!
Im so confused as my case was granted by a IJ and I filed a couple of days before this pause. IDK what to think! Let me know your thoughts.
