According to the July Visa Bulletin, the Filing Date is January 1, 2019. This means that, for now, only applications filed on or before that date are eligible to move forward in the process. Your case has not yet reached that stage. Once the Visa Bulletin advances to your filing date, your case will be able to continue through the process and move closer to a decision, provided all other requirements have been met. The encouraging news is that the waiting time is no longer measured in years, but likely in just a few months. If the Visa Bulletin continues to progress at its current pace, your turn is getting closer.

@Franck ARNAUD I am in F2B category and there are 17 applications submitted in April, 2022. 6 of them have been already appoved. 11 are in a reviewing or whatever state. I am looking at the lawfully data only available in this app. this statement that your application will be reviewed only when your date becomes current apparently doesnt hold. I am curious who are these 6 people who were approved way before the whole line and what their circumstances were. this approval process seems to be very selective and not applicable equally to all. F2B queue hasn’t been moving for the past 7 years. I though it is Covid, but Covid is long gone but the current processing date is almost the same. my 2 cents.

@Za daughter USCIS relies upon the mechanism known as the Visa Bulletin for the adjudication of visa categories subject to numerical limitations, specifically family-sponsored preference categories excluding immediate relatives. Presently, the Filing Date is established as of January 1, 2019. Consequently, all petitions maintaining a priority date prior to January 1, 2019, have, in principle, become current. In other words, such files are now eligible for adjudication by USCIS, subject to pending administrative procedures. Naturally, the current status of a petition does not guarantee immediate processing, as administrative backlogs may persist. Nevertheless, provided that your priority date precedes January 1, 2019, your case has, in principle, become current and falls within the scope of active USCIS review.

f1 november 2018 not approved yet

Is anyone with an F1 I-130 filed in 2018 or early 2019 still waiting for approval? Mine was filed on March 28, 2019, and it’s still pending after 7 years. I’d appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar situation.
