traveling
Eight years ago, I came to the USA seeking asylum. However, after arriving, my lawyer advised that my case might not be strong enough, but suggested that I had a chance of obtaining a green card through a juvenile visa. Fortunately, I eventually received my green card. Now, I'm wondering if I might face any issues re-entering the USA if I decide to visit my home country.?
The Depressing wait of uncertainty!
Waiting for an update on your immigration case can feel like your life is stuck. The uncertainty creates a sense of being trapped maze, where every day blurs into the next, and your life feels like it’s on autopilot. It’s not just the delay in getting a resolution that’s frustrating—it’s the emotional toll it takes. You’re constantly in a state of “waiting,” unable to make plans or move forward because so much of your future hinges on an outcome that’s out of your control.
During this time, life can feel bland, almost tasteless,as if your dreams and ambitions have faded into a dull gray. The goals you once had, the things you wanted to achieve—they all seem to be on hold. It’s as if the pause button has been pressed on your life, and you’re stuck in this moment of uncertainty, unable to fast-forward to the part where everything is resolved.
This limbo can make it hard to feel fully present in your daily life. You go through the motions; work, eat, sleep, etc
but there’s a nagging feeling that something essential is missing. You’re waiting for that update, that decision, to unlock the door to your future. Until then, it feels like you’re just existing rather than truly living.
Whatever your case may be, You are not alone! I hope you find solace with this message

I-131
So I have been asking questions about this I-131 form but no one answers. I initially asked if anyone has ever requested an appointment due to a family emergency/ death and have gotten through? I now understand that process and will share our experience if anyone wants to hear. Does the field office and NBC share info? Do they eventually see that you were approved or not for travel outside the country while I-130 and I-485 is pending; and does that influence the process in any way? Anyways my husband lost his grand mother and I requested an appointment online to go into the field office and we were fortunate enough to have given the chance to travel together I’m so excited. I just pray that it will be smooth sailing coming back into the country. They gave my husband just a month for which we are grateful so now he can actually see family and get to attend his grandma’s funeral after not being able to travel for years.
