Process to get wife to US after I get green card
I had L1 a and applied for AOS after eb1c I 140 approval. However, we are yet to apply AOS for my wife and kid who have L2 but are not in US.
I just came to know that they won't be able to use L2 to travel to US to meet me once I get green card.
If they can't come to US for another year except for short visits, what is the best way to apply for green card for them and have a status on which they can travel to meet me?

USCIS keep messing up my interview location and keep sending me away.
My priorities date is August 2020.
i live in GA. i have been there since i started working with my employer in 2022, till date.
1st interview notice received 31 Jan 2024 in Albany, NY.
Lawyer and uscis not helpful. They kept on telling me to reschedule. USCIS kept on telling me its only gonna take 90-120 days. i rescheduled it.
It took 8 months to get 2nd interview notice. i received it for August 14, 2024. But again, they messed up. its now scheduled for Cranbury, NJ.
This time i was not gonna let it go. i complained to my lawyers and uscis. But, they dnt do shit.
This time USCIS and Lawyers both suggested me to go for the Interview in NJ, since there is nothing they coulnd do.
i visited NJ USCIS for interviews, but they sent me back yesterday. they said i should not have been scheduled to NJ location since i Live in GA. They said, they dnt have my file with them to take my interview. They sent me away with big "SORRY" for the trouble.
I am frustrated with USCIS treatment to my case.
i lost money, time, and my effort travelling.Also did my medical, and others.
Who should i complaint to?
who will give my refund?
how much longer should i wait for this gotdam interview?
I just wanna give up and go back to my country. 4 years of wait, and still not certain for my case. They keep messing up with my case.
Abu Dhabi Appointments
Any K-1 visa applicants facing difficulty scheduling / rescheduling an appointment? Everytime I am on the AIS system it keeps saying “System Busy. Try again later” been like that for a week and some change.
I was wondering if it was just me or if others are facing the same issue.
Interview for marriage (90 day rule)
Hi….. my husband and I got married October 29, 2023 but did not apply until March 15 2024. We were unsure what we wanted to do after getting married and I was planning on returning to Canada two weeks after our wedding and applying consulate processing. Problem was, I was pregnant and an immigration lawyer who is close friends with my husband told me “do not leave the US”. Reason is that I would definitely not be allowed back in and then my baby born in Canada would need to go through the same process of citizenship application.
3 months on we loose the baby. I am still in the US with a condo sitting in Canada that I am paying for. We decide to try again and see a fertility doctor. I am worried they will try to say we committed immigration fraud. We totally didn’t as I had planned to return to my country. My husband actually applied for the marriage licence without me knowing and when I got here he said let’s do this, Halloween wedding theme so we did. I had crossed to come visit him and 3 days later we get married. I did sign for it when I got here and he told me about it.
I guess my question to the community out there is how much weight is placed on marriage fraud? I am from Canada and I own a place there. I was not trying to cheat a system. I can get doctors letters if questioned.
I still have no SS number after 157 days. I did get an emergency parole when my dad died in June. not sure if that took me out of the Q for anything. They also sent a REF for a medical.
I send prayers everyday for all of those who are waiting. It is hard and the only reason I do not feel alone is because of this app and the others who share their stories. 🙏💕😊
