My 130 this approved before interview and I 485 is still pending
hello guys . I had interview last week. my interview went very well . end of the interview officer said looks everything good . but she didn’t tell me green card is approve . it’s been one weeks no response yet . I’m very confused. officer was really good with us . please tell me how long take after interview
can USCIS check I-9?
I’m thinking about leaving my job after a year, and wanting to get another job but skilled one, then whenever my pd is current or I get interviewed or RFE I’ll find the unskilled one. However, I have a concern about the I-9. Will USCIS check the I-9 and find out I have quit the unskilled job when I get interviewed or RFE? What do y’all think? What’s your plan after working 1 year!

I submitted the full package in 2020, Vawa approved in November 2023, medical exams in April 2024, background in May 2024 (local office) (for some reason it is not on the timeline), fingerprints taken in July 2024, how much longer is left? Anyone else in this situation?

Tax transcript vs Tax return
Received NVC welcome letter, they are asking for the last 3 years tax transcript/tax return. I take that / to mean either one will work. I have the transcript for the last 3 years and the W2 forms. Will that be enough, please share your experiences. The returns and the transcript have the same information basically.

VAWA abuser remarried while divorce is pending
This is regarding a friend i met in my lawers office.
He got married couple of years ago. He went through severe abuse during his marriage and decieded to end it. He filed for divorse last year also filed VAWA at the same time. Its been more than a year and the divorse is still pending (NYC courts take long time). Mean while he already got his EAD and travel documents and VAWA is still pending. He filed the divorse one week after sending VAWA application.
But now he got to know that his (ex?)wife remarried without the divorse being finalised. She did that to punish this guy by creating problems in his immigration process. The new guy she married is also from the same nationality as him. She might start filing i130 for the new guy soon.
So my friend is worried seriously about the the situation. When he asked the lawyer, the lawyer said hesitantly that since he already filed for divorse before the remarriage he should not worry about it. But he is not getting proper answers for anywhere.
Please someone let me know if this situation might affect his VAWA process. Thank you.
