EB2-NIW e-request (i-140)
Hi lovely community, Just wanted to share that today I was "authorised" to send an e-request. I received an email back from USCIS stating that they could take 60 days to respond to my enquiry. Since I am now "authorised" to make enquiries, I am planning to call them some time this week and "help" my case since it's been 412 days with no official progress and completely outside of the processing time for Texas which actually is 10 months (for 80% of the cases). If you're having (or had) similar experience, share yours here. I will keep you posted. #eb2 #eb2-niw #e-request #processing-time

I have seen a lot of i140 eb2 NIW cases taking a long time. it looks like your case is not current and USCIS seems to be prioritizing the cases that are current. so you might have been simply deprioritized.

I called a few minutes ago and the automated system didn't let me speak to a human. Instead, sent me an email directing me to Emma giving me instructions to speak to a human. The person sent me the link for the e-request and didn't answer my questions on why it is taking too long to process. She simply said: "thanks for calling today" and ended the chat.

@Yas I I don't think it will have much difference, they will have 60 days from now. Which means that they will have the holidays and the full month of January/25 to respond. Feb 2nd will be the deadline. Fingers crossed.

I did it, “Thank you for submission of your service request.” and got the mail stating that I must wait up to 60 days for an answer., But 2 weeks later I received this message “On October xx, 2024, your inquiry about why your case • is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SRXxxxxxxxxxxxx, was completed.” How it was completed? with this answer: “Thank you for your inquiry. We have received your request and are working diligently to process your case within the processing times posted on the USCIS website. For your reference, USCIS processing time are available here. Due to the high volume of work we are currently receiving, it may take longer to provide you with a final adjudicative decision. We appreciate your continued patience.” and that’s it.

We must be patient! As long as the visa bulletin is not current, time is relative and does not work against you. It is true that there is a lot of uncertainty, but that is why we need to be patient.

This community is amazing. I love your comments and how you guys try to understand this complex system. I understand that we must be patient. There is no other way. I will keep sharing my experiences here (please do it as well). It is important to know what's happening with other people for us to read the scenario and plan ahead.
