I am so grateful to God for this great opportunity, especially during these difficult times for immigrants. I already have my green card and I am so happy. All the stress, despair, and fear are gone. I'm going to have the best Christmas of my life. I wish everyone that their turn will come soon. Just ask our Almighty God. I can only tell you that God's timing is perfect and your time will come soon. Happy holidays, Vawa family, and I wish you all the best for 2026.

Travel to home country
hello all - I had a very nasty encounter with an CBP agent upon my return to the US from my home country last month.
I have traveled total of 3 times this year to my home country.
1st - February it was my grandmother’s birthday and I visited for 2 weeks to celebrate with her - 96 year old and I’m so GLAD I DID!
2nd - my brother was under severe depression and mental health issues and I visited again in April (for a week) to offer emotional support and assistance with his recovery.
3rd - November, I visited for my niece’s graduation - only a weekend but due to the recent hurricane it got canceled // upon my return to MIA from this trip, I was heavily questioned about my recent travel, if I have sexual partners in my home country, who bought my tickets, what I do for a living, etc. I was super uncomfortable-but I think that was routine? I was called into another part of the airport for them to check my luggage, but I was good and got let go but still - I was completely shaken up after that - am I not allowed to visit my home country? as long as it’s not more than 6 months outside the US?? I told my husband and he said he wishes he had been there but he doesn’t have a passport and refuses to go in to get one!!
4th - now my grandmother has passed and the funeral
is this Sunday. I am not sure if I want to take that chance and go. I already bought my tickets weeks ago and as the date is creeping up I am feeling somewhat uneasy about it.
Any advice?
interview to be scheduled?
After your case entered the system for interview scheduling, how long did it take approximately for your interview to be scheduled? I know it varies by local field office, but I’d like to hear about your experiences. Los leo!

Need of hope
so we are a baby in this waiting game with about 200 days of waiting so far. I’d there anyone else here with petioner ( US citizen) AND beneficiary living abroad and planning to move together. Would love to exchange experiences as we go along and even better if anyone is ahead of us in the process.
Also anyone else waiting to be approved would be nice to hear from. praying for a speedy process for everyone 🙏🏾
