Hello Everyone, I have a question please, My I-130 was approved! But on the same day my I-485 status changed to : We have cancelled the request for additional evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. and then my I-485 status changed to: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS Now my I-485 status is: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS and its been around 5 days, What to expect next? Yesterday I shared my experience during my interview. I received the approval for my I-485; however, I-130 is still pending. I'm thrilled, and because I know how stressful is all this process I want to share with you how I organized my documents in case some of you find it helpful. I divided my documents into five categories: in a brief case: 1. i-130: where I had all the copies you need, like passports, marriage certificates, birth certificates, Driver's licenses, and interview notices. 2. Cohabitation: We don't have a lease; my husband owns the apartment, so we have the deed, plus different documents to prove I have the same address: my bank statements, correspondences I received, plus a letter from the building manager stating we live together. 3. Joint finances and insurance: Credit card statements from our joint account, car insurance, health insurance, tax returns, my 401k, where my husband is the beneficiary, and life insurance. We also included a print screen where I'm his emergency contact at work, and he is on mine. 4. Memberships and dog: Our puppy agreement, the registration at the AKC, some vet receipts, everything with both of our names on it. Also, we included our Spotify duo account, Amazon Household and the gym membership. 5. Love, friends and entertainment: We submitted 8 support letters from family and friends including a copy of their ID, copy of the letters we gave to each other for Christmas, Valentine's day and special occasions. Also, some wedding invitations and other letters our friends sent us. Additionally, we included at least 8 Facebook posts, and our profiles where it says we are married to each other. And finally, we printed all the events and concerts we went together, at least 10. I just printed the tickets. Apart from this we had a big photo album, but the officer didn't ask for pictures (she was a little bit overwhelmed for all the evidences, and that is exactly what we wanted). She also congratulated us for how we organized our documents. I wanted to share this with you in case it is helpful. As I said, after a year waiting I know how stressful is this process. Can I apply for OPT while pending I-765 based on I-485?

Hi, I applied for a work permit through a marriage-based green card on November 28th, 2022, and I just now realized that it might take 15 months to get approved (compared to the 4-6 months I initially thought). I am graduating in May and am interviewing for jobs right now. I am terrified of staying off I-20 status, and not being able to work (+ not being able to drive). Can I apply for an OPT (4-week estimated wait time) while I have a pending I-765 based on marriage? I read somewhere that it could give confusing/opposing intent as one is an immigrant while the other is a non-immigrant, but I also read that the worst case would be the denial of OPT but no effect on the green card process whatsoever. my I-485 says they are being reviewed by USCIS but my -I 130 just says notification received and sent is it normal?? Or should they both change to being reviewed?

When will this battle be over???? I am tired mehn. The system should be automatically set that once Vawa approved, the i-485 should follow immediately if filled concurrently. #vawa #i-485

I submitted my 140, 765 and 485 concurrently with the medical as well. My 140 and 765 have been approved. Priority date is current. My 485 was transferred to NBC from TSC on September 27, 2022 and Fingerprints have been applied to my 485 on October 12, 2022. After that no updates until now. Still waiting!!! My I-130 case went from “YOUR CASE IS TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED TO PROCESS. YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE ANY ACTION AT THIS TIME.“ to “Estimated time until case decision” three weeks. Anyone has a case getting stuck at Miami FO?

I got a medical RFE for my I-485 in mid Dec last year from this FO (not local). I never knew before my case was transferred to this FO until I received the RFE. I sent my medical RFE back to them via FedEx, and my RFE response arrived the FO on Dec 21. I asked a live agent in late Feb if my case is still there. The live agent submitted a service request to the FO and I got a mail from this FO saying that my case is under extended review. Now it’s been more than 3 months since they received my RFE response and I still hear nothing. Does anyone here whose case is at this FO experience the similar situation? I planned to visit my family in my home country during school break this summer but it seems to be impossible right now :( #EB2-NIW #I-485

I send my file last year in January with my I-693 attached to it. Fast forward to today I received an RFE for my I-693 again when I have a copy of last year's form from the civil surgeon and their nothing wrong. vawa i485 - vawa approved, i-485 Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken

hello everyone. hope everyone is well and getting big good news everyday. I initially filed i-130, i-485, i-130 and i-765 together. My ex husband is USC. Then kept my i-485 in abeyance and applied for VAWA. Filed for i-360 in march 15, 2021 along with i-485 and i-765. In September 2021 sent a request to update my address. My i-360 was approved in November of 2022. No RFs nothing, was just approved. I did not expedite my VAWA. Two days after approval the status on my new i-485 changed to Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken. The status still the same up until this day. I live in Miami and request to change the address was when i moved here. Does anyone know how long it takes to get RFE for medicals? On my i-360 approval notice, they put a Priority date, which is the date I filed for i-485 with my old i-130. Old i-485 was held in abeyance. But I also filed new one with VAWA. What does that priority date mean for my case? My ex husband was a US citizen, im not depending on the visa cap. Anyone that has time and knowledge to explain, please do so. "Case is being reviewed by USCIS" twice. Then, nothing else.

My case (1-130, 1-485) was changed to "actively reviewed on the evening of March 04, 2023. This was the second time. The first time was about 5 months ago right after biometrics (9/29/2022).
