Is this accurate? When I log in to the USCIS website, it states that my I-130 estimated processing time is 2 weeks. Does anyone know if this is accurate?

Nobody knows exactly…
By the statement you saw it noted “This estimate is based on general processing times for cases similar to yours. Your case may take more or less time to process based on specific circumstances.”
It could be longer or shorter by a lot, but at least to me the estimate is realistic although I wouldn’t count on exact 2 weeks to get a decision though.

@JL M Romo let’s keep each other updated! Is your case in Chicago field office as well?

@Brandy Kong I don’t have a real time yet.
What I’m saying is, on USCIS website their processing time seems longer in general, because the way they calculate the number, is not very dependable. It’s greatly affected by the cases they processed, cases they have in hand and the new cases submitted last month for the current number. So many people complaining 24 months, 30 something months, that’s because the factors are not relevant to the actual timeline. Now when you look at the online account after you log in, you see the estimated time which is more like a reasonable amount according to people with similar cases, and general time it takes theirs to get a decision. That’s why I said I think that’s kind of how I would consider when I want to know the timeframe. But back to reality, when it comes to USCIS processing cases, they never process according to how much estimated time they gave you on your account. You would see people getting approved within 28 days while their estimated time being 8 months or 1000 days while estimated time being 12 months.
I’m not trying to be rude about questions you asked, I also don’t like to give out false hope. What happened to A doesn’t necessarily happen to you no matter how similar your case is or how exactly the same your timeline looks like.
I’m also waiting on mine to get approved so I can’t share that info with you right now. But I’d like to encourage you not to get discouraged but also know that you’ll get there!

Mine was approved when it was showing 2 months remaining. I think this is just an estimate and does not reflect what is actually going on
cailynn espinalFeb 28, 2023
mine said that back in December and still nothing. It just says case is taking longer to process now.

@brandy Jin - how long did it take for you to get the approval after seeing "2 weeks" estimate? Mine has changed to "one week" recently..
