Case Processing
form I-130 is submitted. next steps?
so i recently submitted form i-130 for my husband who is in Pakistan. he has never been to USA. i am a US citizen. i wanted to know if there is any way he can come here sooner just so we can start our life together. would i need to submit some kind of form so he can come here while he waits for the uscis approval. or come here on visit visa(dont know if that’ll get approved). but any way he can come here sooner would be nice. i heard i can also submit a k-1 visa afte i-130 so he can come sooner or the process for spouse visa is faster. but im not sure about it. i heard i-130 processing time is shorter now so k-3 visa is useless because you get i-130 approved before k-3 form is available. can you please guide me. thank you.
waiting for my interview
I have an interview coming up soon. I don't speak English very well, but I communicate well enough, especially when talking about my life, but my lawyer tells me that I need to get an interpreter because they have made the interviews difficult. Can anyone who has had an interview recently tell me how it went for you and do you think that an interpreter is definitely needed?Thank you 🙏🏻
hi guys,my interview is in 3 weeks in Kansas but my husband is deployed.I plan to go alone with all the documents needed. Has anyone had the same issue? should I get a lawyer to go with me?
did anyone have their interview in Kansas? is there any military spouse that can give me more insights? Do I need an attorney or lawyer to go with me or I will be fine?
i need some guidance: should i get a new lawyer?
hi, i’m waiting for my i-751 decision (with an abuse waiver.) I got an RFE on February for proof of abuse. sent affidavits, psychological evaluation, my therapy reports, threatening text messages from my ex & pictures of our old apartment from when he destroyed my belongings, our coffee table, etc.
it’s been 87 days since they received it. my lawyer was not helpful with the rfe. i learned everything from forums, other free consultations. i also learned that this rfe could have been avoided SO EASILY if we did all of this when we sent my petition. other lawyers i talked to also told me that i overpaid to my current lawyer and should just send the rfe without changing my lawyer and ending up spending more. so that’s what i did.
now that its been 87 days, i started to expect an interview and i’m terribly scared of going alone. its impossible to reach out to my lawyer. she probably will not show up. paralegal tells me not to worry but also does not tell me if someone will come with me. what are your thoughts?
this is how my updates look like right now:

Still no decision for my I-140 case
It's been (555 days) since the last update on my case and now it's at "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" and I don't know why it's taking so long, and also there's NO response from them when I submit an inquiry.
For how long?? This is a very, very long time.

Facts You Should Know
The American Immigration Council and AILA obtained an email from USCIS confirming that the agency has lifted the temporary hold on green card applications filed by asylees and refugees in place since March 21. The document was obtained through the organizations’ lawsuit under FOIA for information about the suspension in processing these applications. The email referenced instructions about certain cases where the agency will be required to interview applicants as part of their green card application process. The Council and AILA are continuing to litigate this FOIA case to obtain more information about these instructions and the development of the temporary pause.
wife of a citizen living in the USA
Hello community, yesterday my husband received an email indicating that the I-130 form we filed was approved, but I haven't received any notification on this platform yet. I wanted to know what the next step is after the I-130. We've been filing the I-130 and I-485 since July of last year. will they send me an approval or an interview for the I-485? Thank you.
N-400 Interview Passed, RFE Submitted – Still No Decision
I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I passed my N-400 interview back in December 2022, but the officer told me that a decision could not be made at that time. Shortly after, I received a Request for Evidence (RFE), which I responded to promptly.
It’s now been over a year and a half, and I still haven’t received any update or decision from USCIS. The case status remains unchanged.
Has anyone experienced such a long delay after submitting an RFE?
Has anyone taken legal action (such as filing a writ of mandamus) against USCIS due to this kind of prolonged delay?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice on what steps I can take next.

processing time EB1A
on uscis website below aler meaning TSC ande NSC will have same processing time in future for EB1A? your thoughts?
USCIS processing times for certain form types may no longer reference a specific service center location (for example, Vermont Service Center). We are in the process of adjusting all processing times for service center-related forms to now list “Service Center Operations (SCOPS).” Service Center Operations has expanded its capability to process casework at multiple locations, at various points in time, based on business needs and staffing requirements. Therefore, listing a specific location is no longer an accurate representation of where a case is processed. ** We are adjusting our case processing time metrics to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information by form type.
While certain form processing times are now listed under Service Center Operations, you may continue to receive correspondence from USCIS listing a specific service center location.
