Expedite Request for I765
Hi everyone, I have a question about expedite request for I765 based on financial loss reason. When we expedite request for I765 with the reason of risk losing job, does it contradict to the requirement that the spouse has to financially sponsor for I130? (I765 for pending I485 case) Thanks in advance for any thoughts you all might have!

N400 Interview - Decision could not be made due to missing file :(
After almost a year of waiting on my N-400 interview, the moment of truth arrived on 10/22/21. At the onset, I could sense something was wrong. Due to COVID, i attended a virtual interview; however, the IO’s office was right behind a door, about 6-9 feet away from me. The IO emerged from her office twice to ask me for my green card, then reappeared onscreen to our virtual interview and informed me she had not received my file, but would continue with with interview plus exam questions. I obliged, answered some questions, and passed the exam. The IO advised that she could not make a decision on my case because of my missing file ☹️ she advised that I would receive a determination letter after my file was located and reviewed. She could not put a timeframe on how long it would take to receive my file, review and make a determination, but did state that upon review of the info she had, there should not be a problem with approving the case. Ugh, talk about utter and painful disappointment.
Then...I wake up the following morning to an email from USCIS stating “we have taken an action on your case.” Kinda excited, kinda nervous, I login to my account and find no new updates. I’ve read on other threads that uscis does have delays with updating online accounts. It’s been 3 days since I received the email notification and still no updates. I’ll continue to cross my fingers and wait.
Now, my question is - who has had a similar experience? What was your outcome? One observation I had with the email notification was that it did not “require my attention” - which was the type of message I got when there was updates about biometrics and interview scheduling. I’m hoping the unknown status update is just an oath scheduling. Pls share if you experienced similar!

I539 extension with GC interview notice
All - I need to ask for your expert advise.
a) Applied I130 and I485 and priority date is March 08 2021.
b) Applied for I539 extension as original stay was about to expire on May 14 2021.
c) Got I485 interview notice, but yet to receive actual date. (This is the actual confirmation and not " ready to be scheduled") on Nov 5.
d) Question - Do I need to apply for another I539 extension as presuming the original I539 would have expired on Nov 14. Dont want to take the risk of being out of status.
Thanks - Mk

What is going on with the Vermont Service Center
9 months later no EAD and I have no idea which month they are processing. I’ve seen people who filed months after me get their EADs in the same category and I’ve seen people still waiting for over a year. This is really crazy. How do they expect people to survive.

what does it mean when the USCIS agent tells me that my case is ready for adjudication and I should expect an answer in 30 days ?
I know this is self-explanatory but you can never trust USCIS. basically I went to the Emma live chat and I talked to an agent about an update on my i-765 c8 category renewal. I had to finesse my way into getting an answer because the last agent I talked to was unhelpful so I asked her if my old biometrics we're reused ( which of course they were duh) and if there's anything missing from me to renew my stuff, I also told her that I haven't received an update since March which is when I filed the renewal so that's why I was a little concerned.
I-751 Process Status @ Potomac Center
Yep… like another cases at Potomac center, no changes since May 2020 when my biometric was received . Talking with my attorney, he said that they’re making decisions on cases from December 2019, and may will take around 4-5 months before I hear back a decision from USCIS. If you are in the same situation as I, my suggestion is to contact USCIS and request a 24 months extension notice… in order to ensure that your documents do not expire.
