Approval after the interview
Hello family, this platform has kept me going since the start of the process.I filed my i130& i485 on April 19th 2023.My i485 was denied in April 17th 2024 and i130 was later approved May 17th 2024.I filed i290B within a week of denial and it was denied in August 2024.Since I didn’t have any option I decided to refile in Sept 20th 2024.
I was schedule for interview Feb 6th 2025 and the interview date was March 21st in Philadelphia field office which was yesterday at 8:15am.
We arrived there with my spouse on time but she was not allowed to go through security check and they said interview was mine alone.
I checked in and I was told to go upstairs and wait for my name to be called, all this time I was telling God that this was the moment have been waiting for, praying and praying.Few minutes I was called.
Got to the office and I was asked where was my spouse and I told the officer she’s outside she wasn’t allowed into the building,He started with the question:
1.Whats your name?
2.Whats your DOB
3.Which country are you from?
4.Whats the name of your spouse?
5.Do you have kids?
6.What are the ages of your spouse kids?
7.How much do you make annually?
Then he proceeded to yes/no questions.
He then asked me for any additional evidence, didn’t include the pictures.
After that,he told me to sign a certain document and he told me:
“I’ll review your evidence and if everything looks good then you should receive your permanent residence card in your mail”
I replied thank you and he accompanied me to the door.
I wasn’t sure what he meant when he said that,I knew maybe it will take a day, week or even months for them to make decisions, but today I received an email about action taken and when I logged in I found the approval letter.
It’s been a long journey but when I received interview letter my biggest prayer was to get a good officer at the interview and I believe God answered my prayer.
Praying that God may answer each and everyone of you here with approvals.
I’ll be glad to answer any questions.
Do they invite for an interview I-485 ?
Hello ,
I am NIW , do they invite people for an interview on I-485 only after final action date is current ?
have anyone experienced interview before final action date is current ?
is staying in National benefit center and not transferring to field office give indication that interview is waived ?
we took action on your case
I got this email since Monday, March 17, 2025.
my case now reads “ Estimate time for descision : 3 weeks” down from 19 months.
I suspect that Uscis is checking to see if I am eligible to enter the USA like CBP does every single week when I enter the USA.
I am Canadian but I work in the USA. I get sent to secondary every time 🙄for an arrest 12 years ago in Canada that was withdrawn by the Crown.
its either that or because Canada will not be annexed 🙈
Approved 🎉
Finally approved 🎉
Now I can start looking for a teaching job in the States!!! My husband and I met when I came here to teach at an international school in Honduras 🇭🇳. I planned on continuing to work here until our I 130 was approved before I returned to the States. NVC and embassy stage should be short so the timing in this is perfect for us! God is good!

LETTER WRITING
Good evening family, please I need your advice. was wondering if it’s a good idea to write a letter to USCIS regarding my pending I-765 form . So it’s been a year and some months now that I haven’t gotten a work permit and i first filed under vawa and later I found out it was c31 I went to file for c09 and I have reached out to the uscis about my old I-765 and they told me it’s under review and now I don’t work anymore because the tips of my finger get swollen after braiding and that was how I was supporting my self through school but now am facing financial difficulties and even with my PF I still got a denial letter from DTA for assistance and I have been to the social security office so many times trying to see if I could get a social security card but I was denied too and now I have been offer two letters by schools into nursing and I don’t want to miss this opportunity so am thinking of writing a letter to the USCIS office for them to help expedite my I-765 form . So do you people think is a good idea please . I need you all help and if someone can provide me with the Nebraska office address and what should I state and evidence can I submit with the letter and also do you think it’s a good idea that I state in my letter that i braid hair to support myself but I can’t do that anymore. And also I need social security for financial aid and I also applied for itin number so in case it comes I will try it with financial aid if only they will even approve it for me because I don’t know if they will give me financial aid with my itin and I my state also have a free college over here so hopefully I get it with my itin . So family I really need advice. Thank you all
