Case Processing
Any one still waiting October 2024 filer
I've been waiting for a year for my green card to be authorized after fingerprinting was done, and the status was updated last November to reflect that. This silence is killing my sanity. I'm running out of patience 😭
like I have done everything possible: called them , contacted my congressman, outside processing time filled, like I’m just exhausted
FYI, my priority date is October 2024
K-1 Visa to Green Card (I-485) Timeline — Anyone with Similar Case?
Hi everyone,
I entered the U.S. on a K-1 visa and got married within 30 days. We filed my I-485 (Adjustment of Status) on December 10, 2024.
The last update I received was on December 21, 2024 saying they had taken my fingerprints (biometrics). Since then, I haven’t had any other updates.
I’m just wondering — does anyone here have a similar case or timeline? How long did it take before you received your EAD or interview notice?
Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences

Anything else I should be doing to fast track a decision?
I’ve been checking status updates daily since I interviewed in July. My anxiety is at its peak. Status updated from decision is pending to application is pending since August. My 12 year old received a notice to redo her biometrics which we did in September and since then it’s been back to playing the waiting game.

Help!
I have a pending asylum which I withdrew because my NIW was approved (huge & expensive mistake, I know but I was misinformed and only just learned of this app today💔🥲), I only just realized I might be out of status while trying to file for adjustment of status as my priority is current. Has anyone been in this boat? please advice and encourage me. I have an attorney appt tomorrow but my PTSD is kicking me so I need to read something to lift my countenance. I’m thinking reinstating the asylum case but can I still readjust my status?

✅ EB1A Self-Petition Journey — Approved After a Long Wait (Cross-Chargeability Case)
• Category: EB1A (Self-Petition, Self-Filed I-140, EAD , AP and AOS)
• Priority Date: September 2023
• Primary: India
• Spouse: Rest of World (ROW Cross-Chargeability)
Our case was transferred to the Dallas Field Office (FO) after being linked for cross-chargeability, and we attended our AOS interview in April 2024.
Timeline Highlights:
• Primary applicant’s EAD approved before interview, and AP approved after interview (corrected after a Congressman inquiry due to initial PD issue).
• Dependent’s EAD and AP approved before interview since ROW was current.
• The Dallas officer was very kind, and the interview went smoothly — no white paper issued. He mentioned it might take 3–4 months for a decision.
However, by September 2025, after interview nearly six months of waiting for decision , our status changed to “cases paused - Visa not available” for both cases due to the ROW quota being exhausted at the end of the fiscal year.
We did not raise any inquiries (Emma, SR, or Congressman) after that. But once the new quota opened in October 2025, the ROW numbers were refreshed, and our cases automatically moved forward.
On October 17, 2025, we received the long-awaited case approval notices! 🎉
This journey has taught us that patience, faith, and perseverance truly pay off. To everyone still waiting hang in there. Your day will come too. ✨
